Power Sword heirloom equip animation is interrupted when pressing Sprint
When using the Power Sword heirloom, the low-speed equip/draw-out animation (the “fancy” unsheathe animation that plays while standing or walking slowly) is interrupted if the Sprint key is pressed during the animation. The animation stops immediately and the weapon is forced back into a holstered state, making the equip animation fail.
This behavior is not consistent with other heirlooms. Most heirlooms can fully complete their low-speed equip animation even if the player presses Sprint afterward. Only the Power Sword seems to have this issue.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Equip any Legend with the Power Sword heirloom.
2. Stand still or walk slowly to trigger the “fancy” equip animation (the longer unsheathe animation).
3. While the animation is playing, press Sprint (Shift or equivalent).
4. Observe that the animation is immediately canceled and the weapon appears in an interrupted / holstered state.
Expected Behavior:
The Power Sword should complete its full equip animation before movement or Sprint can interrupt it—just like other heirlooms.
Actual Behavior:
Pressing Sprint during the fancy equip animation instantly cancels the animation. The sword appears partially or not fully equipped, and the animation abruptly resets.
Comparison Notes:
Other heirlooms such as Wraith’s Kunai, Octane’s Butterfly Knife, Revenant’s Scythe, etc., do not suffer from this issue. Their fancy equip animations complete normally even if Sprint is pressed mid-animation. This suggests the Power Sword’s equip animation may have incorrect priority or an interrupt flag set improperly.
Impact on Gameplay:
• Visual inconsistency
• Heirloom doesn’t behave like others
• Disrupts player experience (equip animations don’t reliably play)
• Makes the heirloom feel bugged or unfinished
Request:
Please review the animation interrupt priority / tags for the Power Sword’s low-speed equip animation and adjust it to match other heirlooms so the animation cannot be canceled by Sprint.
