Random Friends appear in my Apex Legends friends list

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
When did this happen? (11.07.23) 
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
How severe is your issue? Little to no impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? I see random players in my friends list that are neither in my Steam or EA friends lists.
What should be happening instead? I should only see my actual friends
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I do not know

As I stated in the title, after not playing apex for a while, I came across 3 players that were unfamilliar to me. I checked if they were my Steam or EA friends and found out they were not. Their usernames are adrian, DXge and Taumuraz. but adrian was not in the list previously, some other user was in the list instead. After a while, I restarted Steam and logged in to Apex again to see that they were removed from the list. But a few minutes ago, when I launched apex again, they reappered. For now a workaround seems to be blocking them from steam since that made them disappear again. I want to note that I believe both my EA and Steam accounts are safe as I have had 2FA on for both for more than 3 years and after checking my recent Steam login history I can confirm that every login was made by me. Sorry for the low quality phone photo, I was panicing.

EDIT: Seems like it was just a temporary bug. A day after I posted this, another random account showed up in the friends list. Like the others, I wasn't actually friends with the user in neither Steam nor EA. But after Iaunching Apex again he was gone from the list too. Both my Steam and EA accounts are still safe (checked logins and had 2FA on for a while, never had malware, didn't give login info to anyone or fell for an API scam).
