Sorry if I've misunderstood. You won't receive the content from the original EA account if you had unlinked a platform, but if you're just looking to use that platform on a new EA account without bringing over your progress, that's fine.

That should be the portion I've bolded below. 🙂

If you've unlinked a platform from one EA account and linked it to another, you will be able to access the content on that newer EA account with any linked platforms, but those will not bring any content from the original EA account.

So the thing that im asking is, my ea account didnt have my psn linked when cross progression popped up for me to be able to do on apex. Now that I have linked my psn account on their after the cross progression prompt showed up, which there was no psn account linked to my ea at the time of that prompt, will I ever be able to get that prompt again to make the progression go through?

No, in your situation these were on different EA accounts originally per your original post.

Progress from different EA accounts can never be merged regardless of whether that was linked before or after October 26th.

So i’m just burnt for $700 worth of items since season 1 because ea sprung the message on me without me being able to hold off until i got my psn linked to my ea account? Is respawn/ea working to fix this because thats so inappropriate for a company to do especially when they dont even have a live chat or phone number like most companies have. If I make a new steam account with the linked ea and psn account will I be able to do cross progression on it with my psn linked to it then? I just find it hard to believe ive been here since season 1 and am being treated like this by the company i’ve been giving my time and money too. If I open a ticket with ea support can they transfer/merge an old ea account to another? @EA_Mako 

Hey sorry to interfere, i have a question I’m really confused. My apex account on my switch is Linked on my EA account, aswell as my PlayStation. However they all differ in email names, they are not all the same. So i decided to change my EA email to match my PlayStation email, is that okay? Will i still be eligible for cross progession? Is there anybody who can check my account and let me know if i will be viable or not, since I bought the ps5 just for this and if not then i can still return it. I know we have to wait and that’s completely fine, but i just want to know if im eligible in the first place. Thank you mako. @EA_Mako

No, you're not burnt for the progress and content that was earned on your PSN account. That is still available on the EA account where it was originally earned. All your progress is stored at the EA account level, not on your individual platforms.

If you unlinked your PSN account, you've simply lost access to that progress. You'll need to re-link your PSN back to that EA account if you'd like to restore that progress.

To be extra clear, it doesn't matter whether that was linked before or after October 26th. This never would have transferred your progress since it was on a different EA account.

Cross Progression allows you to access content on one EA account with all the platforms attached to that same account, it does not allow anything to be transferred or merged across EA accounts.

Support can help get your PSN account linked back to its original EA account to help restore that progress on that EA account, but they cannot merge different EA accounts together.

It doesn't matter which email addresses are used for your various Switch or PlayStation accounts themselves.

You'll just need to make sure those accounts are linked to the same EA account.

You can check your connections on this account page to make sure your other platforms are linked to the same account: Customer Portal (ea.com)

Changing the email itself is perfectly fine as long as you're not unlinking accounts.

At that point you'd just need to wait for the in-game notification to let you know your account has been merged, correct!

So with that being said. If I unlinked my PS5 account from a new ea account and then linked it to a different EA account with the Xbox account that I wanted it on anyways. Will it ruin everything. I don’t mind losing progress on the PlayStation account. I just want to make sure that the Xbox account overrides the PlayStation. My apex legends account is tweaking now and I’m curious if I just need to give it time to fix itself

EA Account #1 - Xbox Account from season 1

EA Account #2 - PS5 Account brand new 

Unlinked PS5 Account with zero progress and moved it to original EA Account with progress. 

So since I’m essentially losing nothing on the second EA Account. Does it matter? 

Unlinking and relinking resulted with all my currency loading and not being able to view legends, etc.. kinda wondering if I just need it to fix itself? 

My stuff isn’t even transferring 

I transferred my stuff from my Xbox one account to my ps4 same ea games acount and it’s just …. Loading…. Won’t let me do anything BOGUS….

Thanks. I appreciate it. My account did become a cross progression account because it popped up with the window that said “welcome to cross progression” that’s when I decided to do the unlink and relink but I’ll just wait it out.

so i unlinked my xbox account from an old ea account and linked it to my current one that has my steam account and all my pc apex stuff on it. from what im reading is that i will need help to link it back to the original ea account that the xbox one was on. also if i link my steam account to the old ea account will i still get cross progression or am i out of luck...? what would be the steps going forward from here?

@EA_Mako The EA account I use for Apex Legends on my PC wasn't linked to my PSN account. I didn't realize this and only linked my PSN account to this after the cross progression announcement. Specifically today on November 22nd. Am I still eligible for Cross Progression? Also the PSN email I have is different to my Apex PC EA account. Is that still fine?

All accounts will be getting Cross Progression, it's just a matter of whether your content and progress will be merged. 

In the situation you've outlined, it sounds like you have two separate EA accounts with progress, so it wouldn't be possible to combine the progress from these two accounts.

Old EA account: Xbox account, Xbox progress

Current EA account: Steam account, Steam/PC progress

Unlinking the Xbox account above resulted in this situation:

Old EA account: Xbox progress

Current EA account: Steam account, Steam/PC progress, Xbox progress

The same thing would apply in your situation! 🙂

Linking your PSN account to the same EA account you use for PC will let you use Cross Progression to access that PC content on both PlayStation and PC, but it will not merge any content you had earned on PlayStation since that was unlinked from a different EA account.
