Let's see what we can do to get that fixed. I haven't seen others mention they can't load into the lobby after a match. Are you getting stuck at the screen where it shows you your squad was eliminated?


Try this: 

  1. Right-click on the Origin desktop shortcut and run as administrator
  2. Right-click on the game in Origin and select "Repair."
  3. Launch the game.
  4. If you're still experiencing this, double-check to see if you have any updates that need to be installed for Windows. (Search Windows Updates in the Windows search bar)
  5. Updates installed? Try again.
  6. Still unable to load into the lobby? Try a clean boot and then immediately try launching the game. This is how we find out if it's another program running in the background conflicting with Origin. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Keep us updated. If anyone else is experiencing this please give specific details on errors message and/or where you're exactly getting stuck.

  • I`ve just started getting the same problem as of today , after the latest update.

    Game over, and says leave match, click leave match and it just stays there saying "connecting to lobby" . I can go back and spectate. But only way to start a new game is to force close Apex and relaunch

    Hey, Legends.

    This post was originally from February and connectivity issues tend to be time-based. 

    Are you all located in KY, Ohio, or CA? We're seeing some reports of users unable to connect from those regions along with power outages like the well known one in California right now.

    Which platform do you play on and have you tried power cycling the console and your network?

    I haven’t been able to get into the lobby from the sign in screen. I thought it would’ve started working but it’s been hours and I’m getting annoyed please help

    There is this glitch since the last update that every time i try to leave to game lobby is just saying connecting to lobby and never connects me i need to restart the game every single time

    It’s still happening to me and my friends on ps4. Will not connect to lobby after a match. KY and PS4

    Yeah, same. Don't want to connect to the lobby after cllicking leave match. Even the characters are lagging while having 60ms 

  • I'm having the return to lobby error and my servers from new York i have to exit the game and then when I log back in it gives me an error failed to fetch something

    I started experiencing this issue during last weekend, after playing some matches with a full lobby, my screen showed them as Bronze IV, with legends they never use and I wasn't able to ready up. They said, they could see me still in the lobby + they saw my legend change, when I did so. I had to restart the PC to get it working again as restarting the game wouldn't help.

    I'm on PC and I'm using steam to play Apex Legends. 

  • @EA_Blueberry WHY is EVERY time the official responce the most idiotic one, you think we started a match without updating first? maybe better fix your broken game

    @EA_Blueberry I’m stuck on connecting to lobby I can press circle to go back eliminated screen I’ve spammed this multiple times I’m on PS5 just started tonight look at stream if interested ThatCheesyDip

    I'm going to close this thread down since it's from 2019 to avoid it continually getting necro'd. Please create a new thread if you're still having trouble and let us know what platform you play on and confirm you're still having trouble with this after performing the connectivity troubleshooting steps below. This way we don't have to repeat steps and know what you've tried so far from your end to fix it.
