    Crashing with 8700 & GTX 1080ti, windows 10 x64 1809.

  • Hey guys

I tried turning down texture detail from "Insane(8GB)" to a more modest 4GB and have had zero issues since. Have played a few matches since and game engine works like a charm! 🙂

^This. Seems like the game crashes when reaching the 7GB mark (VRAM); setting 6GB as budget limit isn't enough, though, I had to turn it down to 4GB to get rid of the crashes. 1080Ti here.

  • i updated windows and switch to fullscreen instead of windowed and it's stopped crashing none since i did that and ive played plenty of games now

I have this same issue tried driver update and repair, didn't work.  Now I am trying turning down the textures to 4GB.  So far no issues but we'll see.

How do you change settings when the crash before you can get there?

  • I reverted to 8GB today and it hasn't crashed in 3h of gameplay. Did they patch it?

Just lower your VRAM until game will stop crashing then play around with other video settings for best FPS in game.
Worked for me because before my game crash because of OBS (yes streaming on twitch) then my game was crashing because of Discord. And now on 4GB VRAM it goes perfect.

    Spec.

    1080GTX/i7 7700/16RAM

If you need help to run your game just ask me when Im live I enjoy helping with technical issues.

Hi, do you get crashes when you switch from windowed to fullscreen or something?

I stick with full-screen all the time and when I need to Alt+ENTER its all fine

  • Seems like turning down the vram has helped me not crash boost this to top

  • Today it decided to crash to desktop without errors. Nothing that I do fixes it.

  • yeah its working in apex for me...without lowering vram value.

    just do this :

In the documents/respawn/titanfall2/local/videoconfig.txt file, there is this part

    "setting.shadow_enable" "1"

If I set this to 0, the game starts.

  • Wow that's exactly what happened yesterday to me... Infuriating to not see an error. I thought I had alt tabbed out lol
