It has been a month now for me as well. The people on chat support are useless and have no power to do anything. All they say is "fill in the account reset form" and will not tell me why my forms keep getting rejected.
I need to escalate to a supervisor or actually speak to somebody from EA.
I will state me problem again:
I have a perfectly working EA account. I have an XBox account. Apex gives me an "Account Invalid" error. Somehow my XBox account is NOT LINKED WITH MY EA ACCOUNT. I have no idea what account it is linked with. That puts me in a position where neither Microsoft or EA will help me.
