I found a fix!
All you have to do is go to your game library in origin, right click on apex legends and click game properties.
Once it loads up at the bottom it should say enable origin in game, check the box and once you've done that restart the game and it should be working just fine.
I actually had mine off, and I know why.
Its because the many random crashes to desktop we all probably have experienced,
a lot of guides on youtube recommended switching it off to perhaps fix the problem.
This was the reason for me.

do you still have in-game overlay off? or has it been resolved? I still have mine disabled due to BSOD
