@EA_Illium @The only way that it will work is if I use my Sony Dual Sense PS5 controller. 

It starts displaying the error message to reconnect a wireless controller with any kind of wired controller. I have tried using the Dual Sense PS5 controller hooked up to the charging cable, I have tried the hori pad mini wired PS4 controller, the normal Dual Shock 4 PS4  controller hooked up to charging cable, I have even tried a scuf PS4 controller and it will not register. 

All of the above mentioned controllers work fine in the PS menu and in other games, it is only with Apex that these controllers do not work.
