- @ErectRainbow Making it relevant again
- @ErectRainbow My problem has not yet been solved
- @ErectRainbow I get the same thing. Tried all of the troubleshooting steps you have mentioned as well.
This same exact thing happens to me about every other game. I'll spike to about 400 ping and my character will rubber band horribly even though my internet is perfectly fine on any other game, I'm also playing on PC with wired connection.
Same thing here, every 40 seconds or so frame will freeze for about half a second (inputs not recognized in this time or continues last command). Stopped playing because of this last year. Tried to play again today: same issue. Frequency of freezes get worse with increased activity, every fight.
Playing on Xbox one S 20 ms no packet loss, no overheating
Will not play again. Following the topic to see if it worth logging on maybe somewhere in ... 2030?
Think there should be some sort of fix already though because my friends also on Xbox are not having this issue reportedly.
It's 100% server sided and I'd say it also has something to do with your distance from the server and that explains why some people have it happen and some people don't.
- @LuiShaoqi Same exact issue. Mine happens every 20ish seconds. I lose a frame or whatever and no inputs. Have noticed it for over a year now but it seems to get worse at the start of every season. 2030 seems ambitious.
Have you found any solutions? I recently got a 4K tv and loved playing apex on it on my xbox series x for a day or two, but now I can't get rid of this consistent stuttering - this is my favorite game and the stuttering has made it unplayable.
The best I've got is restarting your game over and over and trying different servers
I am not surprised this hasn't been picked up by a EA rep yet...
- @ErectRainbow Heres a video of my error if you're curious. Is this similar to what you're experiencing?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZlGP-OcRIA&ab_channel=MrLhosb Similar to what I am experiencing indeed. Hey why don't you turn on the performance statistics? I understand PC may have a different more reliable plug-in but you're on xbox right? The built-in performance readouts to plenty to strengthen my case and would surely strengthen yours. You can enable it in the in-game options menu in case you don't know.
What's interesting is when I have mine enabled Apex will claim I have around 30 ping to a server and no packet loss. When I'm in game I have 70 ping and 2-4% packet loss and anytime the game stutters massively you can see a jump to 300 or 400 and when it's running choppy you can see a jump to about 150
- @ErectRainbow Ya I usually do have it on but it was easier to see the error this way. Apex claims the same for me, 30ping with 0% loss. In game it jumps from 30 to 50 and up to 80 during these errors. Still says 0% loss in game. But I do wonder if Xbox performance just wont allow me to see the higher spikes.
I watched your video and this is the exact same issue I'm having - just uninstalled and reinstalled today and will see if that helped later tonight. I tried a bunch of different servers last night with no luck. Why isn't EA doing anything about this? I've found a lot of posts about people having this issue after the 2/10 patch.
Because it's cheaper to pretend there isn't an issue then it is to fix it and it's EA
I looked through your post again and saw you're in Denver - me too! That seems too unlikely to be a coincidence - I'm going to try the servers you said gave you the least amount of problems and see if that helps, if not I'm going to play on Xbox one instead of my Xbox Series X and see if that works. Whatever is causing this issue, it must have something to do with being in Denver, right? @McChodeGuy , any chance you're in Denver too?
- @RyanDCHS I am in California and connect to the Salt Lake City data center.
I have a buddy in Dallas that made an interesting point. He's 3 hours away from the Dallas Apex server so he always has perfect connection. We however are miles upon miles away from the Dallas server but we're also 5280 give or take ya know feet above the server. He says the elevation has a lot to do with it and I thought that was really interesting as it would explain a lot. Doesn't explain why Salt Lake City has double Dallas' ping though
I have the same issue past since 5 6 days. Freezeing during game for 1 or 2 minutes and packing logs grow up to 90-100. It's literally unplayable. I'm sad..
BTW I'm playing from turkey and the servers are first goal EU servers
It started for me about 5-6 days ago too - @ErectRainbow and @McChodeGuy how long have you been having issues for?
Also - let's start spamming EA / Respawn's Apex's social media with a link to this post to try to get a response!https://www.facebook.com/playapex

- @RyanDCHS Been experiencing this for a long time. I suspect that having the entirety of the west coast playing on 1 server is the problem.
For me this issue started in season 4 with some isolated incidents. It wasn't that frequent but it WAS present. In season 5 it became a fairly regularly occurrence. After crossplay was introduced it season 6 it became more frequent then not. In season 7 I'd say 9 out of 10 games I have these sorts of issues with and for season 8 I'd say the exact same.
My entire playstyle is shaped around what weapons I do and don't have good enough connection to use, contingency plans for when half of my magazine doesn't register, and pushes and plays I simply can't make because I'll get shot around the corner despite being around the corner. It's sad and pathetic really. I have 60000 kills and instead of honing my skills I'm perfecting playing with extreme server lag.
- huyness65 years agoRising Veteran@McChodeGuy yeah they definitely need a server for california. i have no idea why there are servers in oregon, utah and dallas and not californa. i guess rent is cheaper there?

^If you scroll down the bottom and hit contact us, you can have a worthless conversation with someone who tells you it's a "known issue", but you at least get a ticket number and this issue is recorded somewhere more formally than this message board - I'd encourage y'all to do this too, and just spam them on social media about fixing this - the more people they know the issue is affecting, the more likely they are to fix it soon. Also, I switched from my xbox series x to my xbox one today, and went from having a stutter every 10 seconds to every 5-10 minutes - it was actually playable. Incredibly stupid that I have to do this, but it seems like the closest thing to a solution right now.
