Request for Independent Review: Account Banned in Error

Hello EA Support / Community,

I am reaching out because my EA account was recently banned, and after submitting an appeal, I received a response stating that the case was closed. However, I firmly believe this ban was applied in error. I have never used third-party programs, modified game files, or violated the Terms of Service in any way.

I am seeking guidance on how to have my case independently reviewed by a senior TOS specialist, as the previous investigation may have overlooked key details.

Here is what I can confirm:

My account has never been shared or accessed by anyone else.

My system only has legitimate software installed (I can provide a list of running processes if needed).

I would greatly appreciate assistance in escalating this case so that a thorough and independent review can be conducted. This is very important to me, as I always play fairly and follow the rules.

    This issue is a lot more widespread it seems. Do you have any confirmation on whether it is being investigated properly. If EAC is the fault is there a way to contact them about why people are being banned falsely EA_Lanna​

    Apologies, I missed the notification for this thread at the time. Just wnted to circle back and help answer your questions in your latest comment.

    I received a reply stating that the review was completed and the case was closed

    The email back on a ban appeal will confirm what the conclusion of the investigation was. So:

    • If the ban was applied by mistake, they'll confirm the ban will be overturned
    • If the ban was correctly applied, they'll let you know the ban will remain in place

     

    From what you shared, it sounds like their investigation into your ban confirmed it was correctly applied, and the ban would remain in place.

    Hmmm...did the email will share how to dispute it again if you think they’ve made a mistake? If not, you can reappeal using the steps as before.

    At the moment, the system does not allow me to submit another appeal.

    I know it's been a while since we last caught up so just want to check if this is still an issue you're running into, or if you were able to reappeal it.

    Sorry Meffisto​, the only way to appeal an ban is through the webform. There isn't another way to reach the Terms of Service team about ban appeals. The ban appeals are manually reviewed each time they go through, so a human is checking them and verifying things before they conclude the investigation and reach out to you with the results.

    There may be additional information you could provide that could help on reappeal. It'd depend on the nature of the ban and the rules broken. The inital email you received notifying you of the ban should help give you context as to what rules were broken, e.g. stat padding, third-party software, etc. For more about Apex Legends rules and EA rules in general, I'll pop links below:

    I have already followed the steps outlined in the EA Help guide and submitted an appeal. However, I received a reply stating that the review was completed and the case was closed, without an opportunity for further clarification.

    Since I genuinely believe the ban was applied in error and I have never violated the Terms of Service, I am hoping to understand whether there is any way to request an additional or independent review by a senior ToS specialist. At the moment, the system does not allow me to submit another appeal.
