Sluggish movement (PC)

Hardware:

RX 6800 XT Merc 319

Aorus B450m

32 GB RAM

5800x processor

Hello everyone!

First of all, sorry for my grammar (I am Mexican).

I've been playing Apex Legends on PC since 2022 I think and I feel "sluggish" (this is the term I think, kind of "slow" whenever I move my camera, this creates a tremendous inconsistency in my aim (muscle memory); I've done a lot of "tweaks" in my PC trying to find the responsible of this feeling in Apex Legends (because my sensitivities and the linearity feeling of my controller feel AWESOME in any other games). I play 4-3 linear no dead zone.

What I remember I've done:

- BIOS tweaks: Global C states off/on (somehow ON feels better for me), using PBO on and off (doing an overclock and undervolt), XMP on/off (I know it "should" be always ON, but just in case), Re-size bar on/off, setting Power Supply Idle Control in: Typical current idle (currently on this one), forcing to use Gen3 PCle in BIOS (my GPU uses Gen4 but my mobo limit is Gen3, I made a research in this is unlikely to be the problem), AMD Cool N Quiet enabled / disabled, etc... I made a lot of combinations between these and other settings and nothing changed in Apex Legends.

-Windows: Disabling all USB power management features and modifying other settings in the POWER OPTIONS such as: Wireless Adapter Settings, Allow Wake Timers, HUB Selective Suspend Timeout, USB Selective Suspend Settings, USB 3 Link Power Management, IO Coalescing Timeout, Deep Sleep Enabled/Disabled, Interrupt Steering Mode, Link State Power Management, Latency Sensitivity hint min unparked cores/packages, Minimum and Maximum processor state, etc...

Also, using programs like Park Control, Process Lasso (this one helped a lot but still there is something that do not convince me); disabling some services (SysMain en other), editing RegEdit (I know it is dangerous, but I wrote down every modification I made in order to revert them later).

I play with 2 monitors: LG and MSI, the LG has a refresh rate of 144hz and the MSI has a refresh rate of 240hz (I use this one for gaming) and both FHD. I tried putting different rates and turning on off and nothing, still feeling sluggish.

I use a Hexgaming New Edge Dualshock TMR controller, overclock to 1000hz polling rate using HIDUSBF.

I play with a cap (launch options in EA App and Steam) of 180fps, using the following arguments:

+fps_max 180 -no_render_on_input_thread +staticprop_color_use_bindless 0 +staticprop_depth_use_bindless 0 +r_drawworld_depth_bindless 0 +mat_letterbox_aspect_min 1.0

These ones are for helping my game crashed: +staticprop_color_use_bindless 0 +staticprop_depth_use_bindless 0 +r_drawworld_depth_bindless 0, it is a temporary fix for some GPU provided me by a Respawn Engineer.

I've played in every resolution / aspect ratio, and nothing seems help, currently 1920x1080 (native) but sometimes 1650x1080.

I am playing using a 3.2 USB of my mother board (4 blue usb ports), these have a direct path to my CPU according to the manufacturer's manual, but I have tried 2.0 usb port as well and the result are identical, I mean, about polling rate results:

=== Polling Rate ===

Stable (Median): 1000.00 Hz

=== Refresh intervals (Cleaned Data) ===

Minimal interval: 0.96 ms

Median interval: 1.00 ms

Average interval: 1.06 ms

Maximum interval: 2.99 ms

Jitter (StdDev): 0.24 ms

=== Outliers Report ===

Transition Artifacts (isolated spikes) removed: 20

Jitter Outliers (quantile filter) removed: 48

My DRIVERS are up to date (every single of them), temperatures are fine (good air cooling system), etc...

There's a lot of things I made but I do not remember a lot of them right now, sorry!

In other games I do not have this kind of "input feeling", my controller feels very fast and responsive in those other games!

I would appreciate if any of you have some advice for me, something new to try, thank you very much!

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 184.60

Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 6.365232

Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 181.80

Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 2.795591

REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: msmpeng.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 154

Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 129

Number of processes hit: 4
