Strange lobby behaviour and error code:net

I'm reposting this here from the bug reports section since I accidentally posted it there first.

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. lobby
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Just got into the lobby
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 0

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The lobby screen shows strange behaviour and i get disconnected after approximately one minute.
What should be happening instead? The looby should work and i should not get disconnected.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure if this is possible. I just start the game and select a server. When i get to the lobby then it's already there.

I'm using the steam version.
After selecting a server (doesn't matter which one) my lobby looks like in screenshot 1.
- Legends, Loadout and Store button are greyed out and not clickable
- coins in the top right corner show strange values
- daily challenges are partially completed altough I didn't play for a few months

After approximately one minute i get the error which is shown in screenshot 2.

  • Same issue occurring to me as well, have tried running Verify Integrity of Files, Updated Drivers, adjusted DNS to Google 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4, limited FPS to 60, checked all issues on my computer with network and windows files. Not sure what is causing this issue but the game is unplayable with this freeze/disconnect. Only differences between myself and original poster is I am using RTX 2070 Super.

  • I get the same error and i am playing on ps4. Havent played since around December and came back to play with my friends and i get the Code:net error. Tried a few TS options and I still get that.

  • I tried to use a different steam and ea account. I do not experience any problems witht he new account. (this account is practically new and has 0 progress, so using this one is no real solution)

    So I assume there is something wrong with the account itself.

  • I tried everything on the EA help troubleshooting (changed DNS, restarted everything)  I even dropped firewalls for a few minutes.   Nothing helped.  Your screenshots are the same thing I'm seeing on my PC.

    I played since launch with all the same hardware and ISP, no idea what happened... it seems to just be my account.

  • [Ps4] Same thing is happening to me. I’ve gone through 3 different Ea agents already and respectfully, none of them have been helpful to say the least.

    However, yesterday, I had just gone through the process of relinking my Playstation account to my Ea account again. But all I am getting now is that I’m getting these two errors;
    - “Connection to
    server timed out after application was
    suspended.”
    - “Connection to server timed out
    [Code:net] Signon:Full. See
    ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional
    information"

    > Have tried to reinstall Apex on a different console to only get the same errors only when it came to my account, other playstation accounts seem to work just fine. So i have no clue what’s happening.
  • I am also getting this issue. I’m attempting to redownload now. I am level 256 so I would really like to not lose my progress. This problem is happening on my switch with the same errors. I am getting an additional error that says “this account is not permitted for online play” I have gone through the ringer with troubleshooting and EA help had the audacity to say it was my switch even though every other game is working no problem. 

  • After seeing some of the responses, I tested a second account through steam to see if there was any issue with a second account and the game works fine. Something involving the account is locking up the game. Please help EA.
