Stutter/fps
Hi all. I installed apex on my old pc for my son to play on. the game ran perfectly fine 144-90 fps on medium settings.
today i bought him a 144hz gaming monitor.
the game still runs smooth and ...
To activate Freesync, you have to change the color profile of your monitor to "Gaming-FreeSync" (press the third buttom from the left of the Monitor twice). After that you need to activate g sync compatible mode in nvidia graphics settings.
Like I said, level 5 makes fast scenarios like gaming blury because its to much overshot, I recommend level 4 or lower. It is probably also due to this setting that other resolutions and Hz rates look blurry.
I dont have it m8. My options at picture below.
And i'm also not getting the g-sync options in the nvidea control panel.
Is your screen connected via displayport? Try the "Gaming" mode, only then will the option appear in the graphics card settings to enable freesync.
@Sick1ClickNo i'm using hdmi. I found a way to get the stutter reduced to a small hickup every few minutes.... by putting the hz down to 100hz.
So i need a displayport to make the most out of this screen?
I found a cable i can get deliverd to me in 2 days. But there are many differant versions. Is in this pic below a good one to buy?
Edit: i cant find any 144hz ones. Only the resolution goes up. As does the price😛
Well, that's something.
It is not the best, but it should be sufficient for this application area. I would buy it just longer than half a meter, however.
The cables are specified in such a way that the Hz number of the maximum resolution can be seen. This means that with a lower resolution, more bandwidth is available and a higher Hz number can be set. Displayport 1.2 usually supports a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz in Full HD.
