Unable to Add or Invite Friends in Apex

Hi everyone, I’m having a really frustrating issue with the EA App while playing Apex Legends. My friend list on the EA App client keeps lagging, which makes it impossible for me to add friends or invite them to my lobby. The list either loads extremely slowly or doesn’t load at all, so friend requests and invites just don’t work. Also my ping seems completely wrong — when I’m in the lobby it shows around 40 ping, but once I get into an actual match it jumps to around 180 ping and stays there the entire game. I’ve already tried restarting the EA App, restarting my PC, and logging in again, but the issue is still happening. My internet is good which can play every game except Apex. Has anyone else experienced this or knows a way to fix it?
