Unable to connect to EA Servers after update 1.2

If your roommate is on the same network it doesn't happen from their end, it sounds hardware/PC specific. I see that you're on Windows 7, is your friend on Windows 7 as well?

Do you have any updates pending to be installed for your Windows 7?
