Edit: We've just released a patch for EA app that should clear this up without needing to go through the process below. If you're still running into this error, please try clearing the cache on the EA app and restarting to pick up the update, thanks!
As a temporary workaround to the EA app crash you can navigate to where Apex is installed and delete the ui(01).dll (For example, \Program Files\EA Games\Apex\paks\Win64) We're still working on a permanent fix for this and will let you know when we roll it out.
