I've recently heard from someone from security that they are working on this issue and are already actively banning some of these bots.
Their exact method for detection will of course be a secret, though I'm sure they are trying.
It's pretty easy to setup bots for a F2P game since it doesn't cost money to buy any accounts.
This means that they can also bypass any bans they get.
That combined will result in a high amount of bots, so banning a few won't really make a dent in their numbers.
Especially because these bots tend to operate at the same time, you'll usually see spikes of activity, so you'll usually see bots in high amounts.
It sucks, yeah, hopefully we'll see some more systems to fix this issue. This has been something of an issue for a while now. I cant find anything about it. Just played 2 games of TDM and the other team was all bots beside 2 players. The bots have random letters and numbers as a name. It's becoming a huge problem across the board. All game modes are infected. Reporting the accounts do nothing either.
