So despite having fully functioning 20/20 vision in the real world i am miraculously rendered blind when playing this game, i cannot see enemies at any reasonable distance and by the time i do see them i am deadIt seems i am the only person afflicted with this witchcraft, i have turned brightness up to no availThis is the only game that does this, why cant i see a damn enemy? what settings could help with this because the developers clearly messed up big time, i thought BF5 was bad but this pile of hit takes the biscuitany suggestions on settings i can change?i don't even know why i am bothering to try and get the vision better as its full of cheaters anyway, the same as BF1 which i quit due to them ruining it and Mods dont be deleting my post because i am calling this game outEveryone and their dog knows BF games are riddled with cheaters and that is a fact

Are you saying they are invisible or blend in too well into the environment?All bad guys have a red Chem light that can normally be see, as well as some uniforms are bright as hell and easy to see, like the all-white or flaming sparkle red spandex disco suit some like to wear.Distance can be difficult with all the debris and foliage movement, but what I do is move my mouse quickly and hold for a moment to look for movement, even when I am running. Do this instead of a slow scan. Conversely, stop running and squat in some foliage. It makes it hard to see you and you can listen and look around before moving again. I have been using the SOFLAM while in a bush and people have walked right up and past me, before I dispatch them.

@sk1lld I know it’s an old post, darn near necro lol, but I still have issues. The contrast is pretty bad. Remember on release it was so bad they added neon bloody lights to players to try and make them visible. It barely helped.

I guess I need to take back my statement. Had a guy just walk right in front of me, didn't see him until he fired and killed me. God, I dislike what they have done to my stadium.

@danbottomburpBF1 and 4 and no doubt 3 all have very detailed lighting and backgrounds that would cause enemies to blend in with the backgrounds. This is not a problem unique to 2042.Without 3D spotting you will always have areas of the map where it's very hard to see non moving enemies.You need to start using the 3D spot button.If you can't see enemies out in the open then you have other issues with your setup.

There are many instances that I face where the game fails to highlight whether a player is on my team or not. I'll start shooting and then I'll see the green header after a brief delay.
This happens mostly when someone is at a far distance, but should still be able to tell whether they are friendly or no.

Without 3D spotting you will always have areas of the map where it's very hard to see non moving enemies.

You need to start using the 3D spot button.

If you can't see enemies out in the open then you have other issues with your setup.

Playing on PS5 I have similar problems; I've tried monkeying around with my TV and in-game settings but it never seems to work

What is your FoV setting?
Default is 55. Many people suggest 90, but I find this makes everything too small. Personally I run the minimum FoV, 50.

@danbottomburp What's your FOV, screen size, resolution? What sights are you using?

I'm using 88 FOV, which is a little higher, but try using something between 74-90. 74 is the lowest I would go and would be considered 90 in most other games. Battlefield is measure vertically instead of horizontally like some other games.

I also find setting ADS zoom to off, I can't remember that exact name. Off doesn't match your selected FOV, but instead uses the default FOV. It zooms your sights in more. This helps quite a bit.

Like Tank2042Man said, start spotting people. It definitely helps to track them sometimes. The contrast in colors, weather effects, lighting effects, can all add up to make it pretty hard to see. If you're newer to the game and having to learn the maps on top of all that is pretty rough.

@danbottomburp set everything on "Low"
It means it loads less useless clutter that is not enemy players and their vehicles.
Also it helps if you can either play at a higher resolution or to "simulate" the higher resolution with features like the DLDSR (which I use to render and downscale 1440p on a 1080p monitor).
The added clarity is great
