@gsterN54 Did you purchase on Steam or Origin? Same thing with me on series X.
uninstalled the trial version of game once trial had ended.
re installed the full game from disc when collected on release day and the game is still registering as a trial in my games and apps. Rubbish!
not sure if i’m getting the updates on it either.
If you're on xbox series x like me, I had to phone Microsoft support so they could remove the trial status from my game.
I pre-ordered the standard edition of the game, and did the 10 hour free trial to play it early, now that the trial is finished and the game is released it still says the trial is over and that I have to purchase the game even though I already own it. Please help.

Moving this over to the BF2042 board. Same problem although I never used all the trial up yet. Still got three hours remaining

Hey Everyone
Thanks for letting us know about this to check would it be possible to get a screenshot or clip of what it looks like when you try to access the game,
Also to confirm do you own the full game or play through EA Play?
So I think I’ve got to the bottom of this
when taking screenshots for the above post, I looked for proof I owned the game. I had the receipt but in the Xbox store redesign I can’t see where it says “owned” like it used to.
so I went to my games and apps > all owned games > battlefield 2042
clicked on that and it had a button to install. So it turns out the pre order version of the game is a different ‘game file’ to the trial version. That was not even slightly clear. I’m almost out of space so it didn’t auto download on release day so I guess only a few people will have this issue.
Scrap that. The other version I found was the Xbox one only version. The X | S version still says trial for me
