I have stood up for and defended Battlefield, EA and DiCE for 20+ years now. I grew up on Battlefield, and, no matter what other games came and went, it was always there for me. Even with no local servers and games available, I still found myself grinding through the challenges every week just to play and test myself.
But, honestly, this is the line.
Secure Boot isn't the answer. Even if it was, there would be a workaround for it and anything you did within months. Ok, yes, Secure Boot is standard on most computers these days, and a majority of kids playing on their new fancy PCs wont even notice. But those of us who grew up with it, well into their 30s or older may have older PCs, custom configs and dual boot systems. Those who were loyal through all the mistakes and glitches are (seemingly) being alienated by this.
I'm not alone here. Plenty of other veterans are voicing it and feel the same.

I think I'm done with EA now and for the first time, find myself kinda hoping that they fail so that the titles under their banner can go to a new home that actually cares about players.
