It really does seem to be a bit of a matter of luck whether it works right away, but I’ve found another method that seems to work better (starting from step 2 in my description below):
- After setting the game back to your native language, copy the English voen.toc file (do not rename it!) directly into both loc folders.
- Delete the original vode.toc files (or the one for your language) from both folders so that only de.toc (or the one for your language) and voen.toc remain.
- Start the game and go into the campaign.
- A warning message should appear prompting you to repair the game: Close the game and click on Repair in the error message.
- Once the repair is complete, start the game again.
Now the game should use English voices and your native text. It’s best to test it directly in the campaign.
Thanks for your input!
First solution didn't work.
For a second one, I'm kinda of stuck at step 4:
A warning message should appear prompting you to repair the game: Close the game and click on Repair in the error message.
I'm not able to launch the game because of the repair warning message. I also don't see a "repair" button anywhere in the message. The only option I got is "ok".
Did I miss something?

Do you have the steam version? I own the EA version, so there possibly is a chance that the repair function doesn't work the same way as on the EA app.

I also use Steam and have the same problem. Replacing files with a name change does not work.
Copying files without changing their names doesnt work due to the same problem, and there is no option to run a repair as mentioned by my colleague above. - Heyougoodbro15 days agoRising Traveler
