Aircraft need a rebalance

Namely their counter measures and their idiotic ability to be unable to be locked onto at low altitude. It's borderline impossible to take down aircraft in general due to them being able to pop flares every 10 seconds, while the old ones are active for half that time. The easiest fix would be to simply just make them disappear faster, making it more fair for anti aircraft users to take them down, but still allowing the pilots to pop them every 10 seconds. However the low altitude system should just be outright removed, especially when it comes to using the Stinger Launcher, a heat seeker that should be able to lock onto and fire at any aircraft regardless of how low they are altitude wise. Either do one of those two, or just buff the anti air systems that are available to be able to properly deal with aircraft.

I've generally found that decent Jets will evade the Stinger pretty easily, but Helis are easier to take down. It really takes coordination with other Engineers and friendly Aircraft to take out the enemy team's Aircraft effectively, but it can be problematic.
Until I hopped into an AA Vehicle. The secondary weapon you start with and can't change will force a Jet to pop flares; you will reload way, way faster than a Jet's flares cooldown. Letting you take them down pretty quickly, even faster if you do have coordination with other friendly Aircraft and Engineers. Then, once you unlock the High Velocity AA Shell, you can shoot them down with that fairly easily too.
I would actually argue that the AAs feel incredibly strong and are very easily capable of wiping out and then spawn camping the enemy team's entire Air Force completely alone.

He makes a good point. Yesterday I was playing multiplayer (I took my time finishing all of the challenges in the campaign, which I enjoyed very much) on the New Sobek City map and as I mostly play Engineer I hopped into a Mobile Anti-Air Tank and it was a thrill.

It paints aircraft really quickly and jets have to fly pretty high to avoid the tank. Helicopters, on the other hand, are easy prey to the anti-air tank.

You fire your first shot after they're painted to get them to pop their chaff. But the tank's second shot is ready before their chaff comes up again and you'll knock them right out of the air! I didn't even have to leave home base and I could still control about half of a large map.

    Revenge!
