Battlefield 6: We Expect Better Than This!

Ever since the beta we have been giving clear feedback and almost nothing meaningful has changed. The game still feels nearly identical, with a bit of polish here and there, but the fundamental issues remain.

Weapon balance is a mess. Some guns feel pointless, especially SMGs that barely have any role in the current meta. Gunplay feels unfair and unpredictable overall.

Visibility is a disaster. You often only realize who killed you after you are already dead, even if they were standing five meters away. Shooters live or die on situational awareness, yet Battlefield 6 buries enemies under smoke, dust, bloom, fire and excessive visual effects. Playing with beautiful visuals becomes a disadvantage because you simply cannot see anything. It feels like we are forced into retro 16-bit visibility just to spot enemies.

Sound design is not helping either. Footsteps are very hard to localize, directionality is off and you cannot rely on audio to track threats. Cheaters are already back too, which quickly destroys trust in competitive play.

Crossplay feels unfair for PC players. We have to deal with strong aim assist from console players. Console users can disable it, although there is no real reason for them to do so. This creates a skill imbalance that should not exist in a modern FPS.

Seeing Battlefield now push battle passes feels like a disappointing step toward the exact things people did not want. After BF2042 we hoped lessons were learned. Yes, there are small improvements, although nothing spectacular or game-changing. Hit detection and registration feel inconsistent. Sometimes bullets have zero effect, sometimes you get one-shot instantly. The identity of the game feels lost. Is this supposed to be a tactical simulator like Arma, or an arcade shooter?

There is simply too much wrong at the moment. It feels like money comes first and quality second. Loyal fans deserve better. I genuinely regret buying the game in its current state.

Battlefield used to be the king of epic warfare. Right now it just feels like a disappointment.

The update didnt change a thing for me.

All the problems and complaints are still here.

It is just CoD with a BF skin. Makes me sad

This right here!  Footsteps sound like they are all around you, even when using 3D audio headphones.  Tighten up the audio to be able to localize better.

this game has totally destroyed breakthrough in everyway imaginable.

remember operations in bf1, thats where it began and thats where they had  it right. BIG maps, lots of space, 3 attempts to take the objectives...if you failed then you got a back up behemoth or train etc.

this game. funnels you into tiny spaces on tiny maps like it wants you to believe your playing shipment every game. bf6 has machine guns and a lot more tech etc than bf1 and the maps are smaller and designed poorly, which doesnt make it work.

breakthrough is basically a worse version of rush on bf6 with more people just crammed together.

the map designs are crappppppppppp. the new oilfields map is a JOKE. breakthrough on this map is a JOKE. WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THIS GAME. i sat in the menus earlier and thought what do i play...id love to play breakthrough...but oh...its sht.

its not even a beta game

Agreed on the excessive criticism the game's receiving so far, admittedly having made some of said criticism myself several times but.. honestly it's not that bad a game everything considered, the maps we just need to adapt a bit, attackers on Blackwell Field are at the same disadvantage as attackers on Locker BF4, Rush/BT wise, tbh while not being this cool original map with a unique setting. Although I will say the majority of maps have too much symmetry and commonality with the repetitive construction buildings setting, hopefully we'll see something more diverse in the future, forest, snow, night, naval, etc settings. Gunplay being unpredictable is actually a good thing overall, why would I want the game to be predictable ? We'll never get a perfect game and devs simply can't make everybody happy.

But pls for the love of god nerf SMGs already, I though it'd be corrected with yesterdays patch but I'm still getting wiped on full health at range, the gun imbalance is a real problem, (overlooking the superficial aspects of the game being criticized due to it being made with the current times and target audience in mind, skins, female soldiers etc).

Battlefield games have traditionally had troubled launches, where they would be broken for at least a year before they finally fixed it.

Broken for a whole year after release for another BF game is unacceptable. It's 2025. The fact that it's still a problem should mean firing 95% of the staff since nobody can seem to put together a proper game without having everything break within the first 2 weeks of launch (including beta continuously being broken for the entirety of the beta phase).

sammcool666 Totally agree. I cannot fool myself defending this game any longer. EA try to make BF6 looks like COD. The map is wayyyy too small.

I’m sorry OP, I have to disagree, goofy skins, no big maps yet, I don’t love BR, and cheaters are my only issue in this game.
