Breakthrough in Bf6 Needs More Sectors
Why do all the Breakthrough maps, except for 2, have only 3 sectors? Why do the two largest maps in the game only have 3 sectors?
Breakthrough, ever since its introduction in BF1, has been my bread and butter, and I love playing it. However, in BF6 so far, both Liberation Peak and Siege of Cairo are really the only true breakthrough maps, as there are more than 3 sectors, allowing for both the attacking and defending teams to put up a good overall experience (with maybe some tweaks needed). What happened to Breakthrough having 4, 5, or even 6 sectors like in the past? In the current state of breakthrough, with so little movement due to the 3 sectors, some games just feel sluggish and slow-paced.
I wish we could go back to having 4 to 6 sectors, as that allows for the defensive side to regroup and stop the attack, and the attacking side to have more opportunities to get more lives to keep pushing. These 3 sector games go way too quickly, and in some maps (most notably Mirak Valley), attacking is near impossible. On Empire State, I was playing defense one game, and when the attacking team took the first sector with only 15 tickets remaining, they somehow started the second sector with 260 tickets, which has to be a bug, right? It just doesn't feel like I am playing the breakthrough I am used to from BF1 and BF5.
Honestly, I feel a fun idea would be to combine both Breakthrough and Rush, as both are so similar as it is, and it would be fun to be capturing and destroying objectives in a Breakthrough game and would add more depth.
Don't get me wrong, I have been having a blast playing BF6, but I feel like Breakthrough isn't as fun anymore with the 3 sectors as it was with more. I hope EA comes around to reworking the breakthrough layout and gives us more sectors in the future.
