Convinced that BF 6 was designed for...

Looking at Season 2 to the current Season 4, but in some ways going back to day one launch, I am convinced that Battlefield 6 was designed to benefit console players over PC players, giving severe advantage to using controllers, and going after players who used to be Call of Duty players.

The further we go with BF6, Season to Season, I am seeing small incremental tweaks to the game enhancing EA's clear intention to ensure console / controller players have the better experience.

Reduced recoil to the point that some weapons have zero recoil, including a few LMGs. Target assistance to the point of literal aim following targets with little to no player console inputs. And clever use of designed framerate lock ranges for consoles that allows for better netcode advantage. Snap to target, follow target, with zero recoil is idiocy.

Add to that, especially with Season 3 to Season 4, is the introduction of literal team imbalance where EA is designing the outcome. Conquest and Escalation especially, but some TDM and Breakthrough, now end up more often than otherwise wins by 700 to 900 points. 1 in roughly every 4 games ends by some version of mercy rule ending the game early. It is now a rare exception to see a Conquest or Escalation game end where the balance is 300 or less and the consequence of that is players leaving hopeless games is going up. Ending with the losing team being down 10, 12, or more players to the winning team as final player count. Worse, thanks to this matchmaking, no matter being on the winning team or not, I may see 4, 5, or more lopsided slaughters all in a row. Happened both today and yesterday, just massively lopsided games and plenty of mercy rule endings. Why? Why cause such an imbalance? EA arrogance, or indifference, or both?

No matter how you cut this, EA has allowed the game to become a middle-finger to PC players and in some regards with Season 3 and 4 a middle-finger to many players based on how teams are stacked. BF6 is now down in the player pool launch to current, but inched up with Season 4, the coming weeks TBD no matter what disinformation message comes from EA.

The real questions are why are PC players being abandoned, and why such treatment of the player pool overall? We were around for Battlefield 1942 up through Battlefield 2: Modern Combat into the larger Battlefield 4 and expansions, is EA too scared to admit PC players need to go?

Fix your netcode for one, then go back to the conference room and decide to balance the game or grow a pair and tell PC players they no longer belong in the franchise they were in on since day 1.

Go watch Jackfrags or Levelcap and behold, virtually no recoil by mastering control of the mouse.

  • You realized the situation a bit late. The reason the game was called Call of Field or Battle of Duty when it first came out was because it was made specifically for Call of Duty players.

do you play on console? have you ever tried the pc version? i watched console version and the recoil is 0! they have laser weapons

  • Utterly insane conspiracy theory nonsense drawn up because someone using a controller killed you.

    The "pc master race" everyone.

  • It absolutely feels like consoles get advantage.  All you have to do is watch some console gameplay to recognize this.  The game essentially plays for them, and the only requirements for them are to be in about the right place at the right time, and press the right buttons.  It's like a location based QTE game for them it looks like.

It's made even worse by the fact that each group wants crossplay off.  Consoles don't want to play with PC, PC doesn't want console, EA has even come out and said they hear us and understand... but they won't let us turn off crossplay.

    It's moronic.
