Current Weapon Balance
Every FPS game has strong weapons and weak ones, and that’s perfectly normal. But aren’t the overpowered weapons in Battlefield 6 a bit too dominant? Take the TR-7 for example—this beast of a gun boasts a 720 RPM fire rate and 33 damage, even retaining the full 33 damage within 20 meters. To put that into perspective: the TR-7’s time-to-kill (TTK) clocks in at a mere 166ms, while the average human reaction time ranges from 200ms to 300ms. That means you can get taken out before you even have time to react.
You might argue that such high damage comes with the trade-off of heavy recoil—but slap a 45-point grip on the TR-7, and it has virtually no recoil at all when firing within 20 meters. If that still doesn’t convince you, look no further than the submachine gun SCW-10. What the hell is this thing? It feels like something a developer came up with after downing a ton of drugs. With an 800 RPM fire rate and 33 damage, its TTK drops to an absurd 150ms within 8 meters. Even at 50 meters, it has barely any recoil once you equip just about any grip.
I think the reason Battlefield 6 is losing players isn’t just because half the lobby is sometimes filled with bots—it’s also these ridiculously overpowered weapons. When everyone is using SCW or TR-7, matches become unbearably stressful.
My suggestion? Nerf the TR-7’s damage down to 28. As for the SCW-10? Scrap it entirely. And the SG 553 should get its damage cut to 28. Any weapon with a fire rate of 800 RPM or higher ought to be tuned down to 20 damage—even 17 damage. This would push the TTK or time-to-death (TTD) back to the 200ms+ range we saw in previous installments, easing the pressure and making long play sessions much less exhausting.
