Stinger missles

in my opinion the stinger missiles are broken. It’s nearly impossible to fly any aircraft without a constantly being locked on and with that if I use my flares in between flares I’m locked on by 2 more I feel the stingers need to be nerfed and or decrease flare reload time to give new comers and pilots a chance and you should only have 2 shots with the stinger and when getting resupplied only have one more shot and that’s it. I feel it’s an issue that I have heard from several people about it. What’s your thoughts on the matter? And or any better tips cause the other two maps don’t provide much terrain cover compared to liberation peak.

    in my opinion the stinger missiles are broken because they are too weak, they should be stronger and hit jets and helicopters more often. If you are a good pilot (like Silk - type his videos on youtube) you should always have your flare ready when you are approaching to attack. Pilots need to be fast and right after attacking they should either go very low (to avoid locking) or to hide behind mountain. If you had infinite flares then of course you would be happy to fly 45 minutes killing the others but that is not the root problem. The real problem I see is "fighting" for access to the jet (vehicles). Jets, tanks, helicopters are extremely rare in the game. It is extremely hard to get those vehicles. Plenty of players are just pressing "space" button dreaming to be the first one to get access to it. Imagine how much time they loose in the game just waiting in the lobby. Imagine now that vehicles can spawn faster and that each map has at least 4 jets and 8 tanks - then stinger does not hurt so much. What is more there should be ie. a queue or something for people waiting for access to vehicle - otherwise "space-pressing" war starts and people are waiting forever in the lobby instead of just attaching to the game. 

    What I could suggest to developer:

    1. more vehicles, shorter spawn time (imagine you have more option to choose and less waiting time)
    2. queue to access vehicle (imagine you dont need to press space bar, but you are queued instead. By queued I dont mean waiting in the lobby wasting time, just "background queue" and you still can attach to the game!)
    3. dedicated maps for vehicles (so everybody can use them! not only the "ones" who pressed space button the fastest)

    of course somebody may doesnt like having 8 tanks in the team but then EA should host different servers with different number of vehicles allowed - there would be fun! example:
    Conquest most without vehicles,
    Conquest mode with 4 tanks 2 jets as it is now on Firestorm map, 
    Conquest mode with 8 tanks 4 jets
    etc.

  • Many locks isnt the stinger but the laser designator. I see too many pilots pop flares just because it beeps and not because its an incoming missile. I'm not even a good pilot but stingers is never the issue. The laser + ifv missile bug is the real issue.

    We do not need another helifield 2042 where air just completely dominates everything because they can just flare, hide, flare hide in a 10 second loop endlessly. 

    Bf6 actually demands pilots to use tactics and not just do the "flare hide" routine endlessly farming infs and ground vehicles with little effort.

    I only play infantry, usually Support.  There is nothing I can do about tanks and aircraft.  
    Aircraft/Tanks can be killed by other vehicles and Stinger/RPG from one class, and that class can't carry both.
    Infantry can be killed by every vehicle, every weapon, half the gadgets, and collapsing buildings :)
    I feel like vehicles already have massive advantages - immune to most infantry weapons, higher health(you're in a vehicle), and can kill anything.

    If you are for example the only one engineer in a team and enemy tank is coming you have almost no chance to fight that tank with RPG (only a couple of mines on the ground can help, but mines can be easily destroyed by anyone) .

    Like in real life tanks are powerful (that's OK) but if you have good RPG you should be also allowed to destroy a tank by one hit. The same applies to jets. Jets when navigated profesionally can easily destroy infantry with bombs , but if you have stinger you should be allowed to easily destroy jet also. 

    But again, with powerful RPG and stingers we should have FASTER spawn OR BIGGER NUMBER of vehicles accessible on the maps otherwise it is a fight for vehicle - many players want them and you cannot get them. 

  • In terms of balance, this game seems to really steer you towards using the Below Radar feature. Stingers can't lock on to you when you're below a certain altitude.
