Honestly mate i have no idea what those software/hardware things are. I’m clueless with how people cheat and whats involved. To me, adjusting the in game controller settings doesn't correlate with the definition of cheating as you mentioned with repetitive, suspicious inputs. Tweaking FOV, aim assist, stick dead zones, controller mapping such as simply only swapping ping with grenade throw buttons really shouldnt flag. Entrapment probably was the incorrect term used, however without EA justifying exactly what the issue was, it sure feels like it and a total waste of money and time. And super disheartening because bf is my fav game
If that is all you did, then I agree that you shouldn't get banned. "Tweaking a controller" is a broad definition. The things that will get you banned is using software to reassign inputs/outputs and especially macros that apply different button combinations to a single button input or a "rapid fire" button.
If you only use the configuration options in the game, I agree that you should not get banned.
