Fragmentation weapons

Is there anyone else feeling like the frag grenades and grenade launcher blast damage and radius is just abysmal. Its like if you don't hit them directly with either you won't do realistic damage. I get its a game but the older games didn't feel like this at all to me. And what's with the player characters throwing grenades like they weigh 10 pounds. It just feels weak compared to bf4. I wish bf4 wasn't pretty much dead. And before you say it isn't, there are only less than 10 hardcore servers anymore. Honestly thats the only way to play battlefield, this 3d spotting just feels like cheating. Rant over.
