Controllers should not have soft aimbot. Remove it from the game. Every console can use MNK. If they want to use a controller fine, but they don't get soft aimbot. That will also make it far easier to ban people using soft aimbot programs and devices like cronus. Unless you think your players are too stupid to play on their own EA?

Nope. I play with a controller (on a console) and I always play standing up (as I find it more comfortable). No way I'd be using M&K.

Huge advantage for console players in its current state. Aim assist should be good up to 50 meters or less. You shouldn't be locking on to someone from 100 meters or more and ending them in two shots with an smg. BF6 is going to loose a large amount of its PC players

Is the reason you won't use MNK because you know that it would not be advantageous to you?....that you'd lose the edge you have?
I'm not really sure what "standing up" has to do with anything because it's been proven time and again (through actual videos) that the recoil and bloom are virtually non-existent. Further, there are videos showing the reticle tracking enemy players for those using a controller.
I personally played with a controller (on a PC) one match just to see for myself. I found it was too easy to kill the enemy. As a side note, the only (ONLY) game I use a controller with is the driving soccer game...rhymes with Docket Fatigue....never play an FPS with it. Running and gunning, I had 18 kills and 18 deaths. I firmly believe that if I had camped some, or were playing on a console, that my KDR would have been greatly in the positive.
I love how console players (using a controller) will argue that it's a detriment playing on console with a controller because the tracking messes their aim up because the reticle drifts....which typically only happens in a chokepoint and doesn't really matter because in those situations, even MNK players are going to be holding the trigger down. From any distance, console with controller has laser beams and can shoot across the map....especially with SMG's and sniper rifles.
This is absolutely ridiculous! And, unacceptable. Which is exactly why I don't play this farce of a game anymore. Which is probably why the player numbers have dropped exponentially and lobbies have to be filled with bots. If the trend continues, online will become a single player game.

You're getting maniacally carried away in your angst, that's why.
Is it so difficult to see that I (and I speak only for myself here) prefer simply to stand up while I play? As opposed to sitting down on a chair. No other mysterious hidden agenda. Goodness, some people.

About 65% of my deaths are from console players. I am tired of always getting nailed by a console aim assist DMR or someone with an AR 120 meters away locking on to me and laying down on the fire button and killing me because it locks on to me.

Console players: Consoles are every bit as good as PC’s! We can even upgrade hardware! We can play the same games! They’re cheaper than PC’s! PCmasterrace is a lie!
PC users: Ok, so play with a mouse and keyboard and don’t use aim assist.
Console players: NoooOOooO! Impossibru! We can’t do that!
Yeah, not interested in a PC-Console war, but it’s BS that consoles are the same if they refuse to play with the same I/O devices and need an aimbot assist crutch.

You can do whatever you want to a console especially if have soldering skills it's not that difficult. But comparing a PC to a console performance wise is crazy I have both

Aim assist is weak as hell in this game and is basically turned off on anything over 100m. I can always tell when a post is made by someone that has never tried controller play.
- RichardDirt30 days agoRising Traveler
Stop lying to yourself! I have both and consoles are running on soft aim bot

I can tell you've never used controller on this game.

Although I understand concerns around fairness and suspected cheating can be frustrating, input methods and cheating are separate topics. Reports of suspicious behavior are best reviewed by the team.
Regarding aim assist, there are definitely different perspectives, as reflected in the discussions in this thread. Some m/k players feel that aim assist can provide an advantage, while others see it as helping controllers stay competitive, since aiming with a thumbstick isn’t as precise as using a mouse.
The team will continue monitoring and refining Aim Assist behavior, as they did in Update 1.1.2.0.

I don't really think it needs any more changes. What it was at launch was actively hurting controller players, but how it is now being more like the beta build is perfect. Its not strong at all and gives just enough slow down bubble for cqc situations while basically being off at long distances.

Thanks for your feedback! It’s just as helpful to hear when players are happy with how things are. Sometimes people are more likely to speak up about what they’d like to see changed.
- RichardDirt30 days agoRising Traveler
Yeah that's console players saying it's weak for a reason. This game is going to burn for PC players the steam numbers don't lie. You're tailoring this game for console players. Let us disable cross play

It’s worth noting that PC players can use controllers, and console players can use m/k as well.

most i play most of the top players are using controllers and have massive kd
- Raansu861 month agoNew Scout
Its not hard to have a high k/d in BF games, especially if you ignore objectives and farm kills in vehicles. Its why k/d is taken with a grain of salt in BF games.
- Ai-Fluffy30 days agoSeasoned Ace
They need to set cross play off by default for PC and Consoles.

lmao get real. Controller was never for FPS games. The only reason anyone using it is because how overpowered aim assist is.

I have personally given up on Dice and the Battlefield franchise completely.
Let's be clear, Battlefield is now Console slop. It's made for people who play shooters with Controllers on Console from their couch.
If Dice had ANY respect for the PC community, this amount of assist would have never been allowed. At this point, they can't redeem themselves. The only hope is that some other studio comes along and gives us a true Battlefield game. Dice isn't capable of it anymore, they don't have it in them, and they're uninterested in giving it to us. We need a studio that has passion and that actually plays their own game.

Use a controller for a day. Stop making blatant posts like this where its clear you've never tried controller play. The AA in this game isn't strong at all. It's a tiny little slow down bubble.
- RaginSam30 days agoSeasoned Ace
I have, and tested it in both the beta and tech test. Controllers get:
- Slow down over target
- Sticky assist (which is essentially rotational assist)
- Reduced recoil and spread
When I tested using a controller, it felt like there was a modifier regarding the recoil. You literally breath onto your joystick, and all the recoil disappears. You don't have to do much if anything to counter it, unlike a mouse, where you have to actually counter recoil and learn patterns. We are playing two completely different games at that point.

This is Age old passionate debate. M&KB complain about Controllers and Controllers complaining about M&KB. It's a completely baseless argument as either side complaining HAS THE OPTION to CHOOSE the OTHER INPUT selection. Stop Crying.
- RaginSam30 days agoSeasoned Ace
Way to use words to convey literally nothing. You're not the adult in the room for trying to sit on the fence either.
How is it baseless? There's ton's of data out there comparing the two inputs in various games. Controllers with aim assist out perform MnK because devs are afraid to actually balance inputs correctly. They care more about sales then integrity. How is giving only one input assistance fair? Please mind ninja that one for me. I don't go to a pool tournament and expect to be given a handicap because I really like playing with a toothpick.
Seriously, try to apply this mentality to any other sport, hobby, or anything remotely competitive. No one would tolerate it, yet in FPS games, "I use my thumbs" is a valid argument? Complete nonsense.
