Latency Crisis for Mexican Players - EA Can Fix This Now
I’m writing on behalf of a growing community of players in Mexico who continue to face persistent latency issues due to forced routing through distant servers in the U.S. or Brazil. Despite Mexico’s massive gaming population. there are no dedicated servers serving this region directly.
This is no longer a technical limitation. With AWS Local Zone infrastructure now live in Querétaro, the hardware is in place to support low latency, region specific deployments. The only missing piece is publisher side action.
We urge EA to:
- Deploy dedicated servers in Mexico to reduce latency and improve match consistency for millions of players
- Benchmark demand using existing player density, ping telemetry, and routing data from central Mexico
This deployment would dramatically improve the experience for players across Mexico and Central America, and signal EA’s commitment to supporting Latin America’s fastest-growing gaming market. The infrastructure is ready. The player base is waiting.
