Veteran myself. Ive played battlefield since 1942.
Each battlefield has been different and brought something new while still retaining the battlefield DNA (not 2042 - that was a disgrace)
BF6 beta was great and we held hope that this could be one of the GOATED BFs.
But certain choices and omissions regarding balance, map design, communications and server setup are just frustratingly disappointing. I truly hope that DICE make the changes required to make this a fair and balanced game. The formula is simple, add balance, make sure each weapon/vehicle can be fairly countered. Don't nerf weapons so lethality is uneven, lethality is great, fast ttk is great. But make sure each weapon is meta at its own task and range.
Map design is inconsistent, Cairo is a fantastic map but others have poor flow and lack refinement.
Prioritising party chat over squad chat is a mistake, why the separate comm channels? You should be able to communicate with random new people without having to switch channel. The current setup doesnt encourage teamwork or community, and it shows in the majority of servers which actually have real human players (probably the worst BF so far regarding teamwork and cohesion)
Lastly, the worst is the inclusion of bots. The current matchmaking setup BF6 uses is absolutely broken and making people leave. Most days its difficult to find a single good server let alone find a series of good servers and games. This is absolutely amatuer for a triple A title.
Battlefield had a high player count and really shouldnt have the need to resort to filling lobbies with bots, at least there should be option to switch bots off. Adding a normal map rotation and server browser would fix the issue. Players can choose what map they like and the players they would like to play with/against. The majority of players ive spoken with are frustrated and dumbfounded at the decision to run BF6 this way, we didnt play for a modern online FPS to play bots. This is not the BF we all know and loved.
