Nuanced review bf6 beta after 40h gameplay.

Short intro,

I play Battlefield since bf1942 and every edition after except "Hardline" for 200 - 400 hours or more.

I played almost all single player campaigns of call of duty but only a few hours multiplayer.

----------------------------

WHAT I DO LIKE:

+ Graphics.

+ Overall Distruction.

+ Overall Movement & Gunplay

+ Killing vehicles with rpg.

+ Open & closed weapon system.

+ Sprint speed, Tactical slide.

+ "Flick" Movement.

+ Drag to revive.

+ First 3 maps of the beta.

+ Conquest, Breakthrough.

+ Assault, Support & Engineer class

+ New in-game sound mode.

+ Tanks.

+ TTK.

+ Recoil.

----------------------------

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

- Empire state map.

- Flying helicopters or jets.

- Kids or woman screaming/shouting "Choice to play as male/female."

- Main menu/interface.

- Movement combo/glitches "Slide + crouch + bunnyhop"

- Having only 1 grenade.

- Rush 12 vs 12 "No vehicles"

- Breakthrough 24 vs 24.

- No levolution.

- No actual flags on capture points.

------------------------------

WHAT NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED:

- More and bigger maps.

- All current beta maps need improvement.

- Spawn beacon and motion sensor needs to make noise

- Bullets that don't deal damage at all.

- Map glitches "Parcouring on rooftops"

- Getting shot behind cover

- Assault & Recon class gadgets

- Assault grenade launcher needs more damage and ammo

- To much Suppression "When under fire"

- Hold = Drag to revive, Single tap = Revive direct without drag.

- Parachutes.

That list can be expanded on.

    -Squads stay together.

—Spawn beacons and motion sensors need to make noise.

-The capture point sounds are awful and grating.

—More destruction. Most of the destruction are for buildings that have no rooms in them. Seriously. Half the buildings you can destroy have no interiors. Wut?

-No cross play,  literally no one wants it. Even PC players.

    -The parachutes are a joke.

-Grenades stick  and seem to just shoot out of the player.

    -Spotting needs a total overhaul.

-Get rid of the ping. No one uses it properly or pays attention to it because it’s a stupid design choice.

-The maps need to be reworked to allow for some actual strategy.

-Choice to play as male/female. I’d rather not have to listen to women screaming but EA seems to like it for some weird reason. Battlefront 2 was atrocious. Couldn’t play the campaign because 70% of the NPCs seemed to be women.

-Closed weapons. Don’t split the player base. Just make it closed.

-Tanks don’t have directional damage. Again, appealing to the lowest common denominator players that don’t understand tactics.

-Don’t allow Engineers to carry Anti-air and Anti-armor.

    -Get rid of slide.

I can go on and on and on.

    Thank you for you're input.

Some things i do agree some i don't, i will update the list

  • I agree with most of the points here, this game has way more problems that battlefield 2042 had.

The most important one is that it does not feel like a battlefield game with the hyper gameplay and small maps. And I know the big ones are coming but maybe 3 only? We will have the main mode of battlefield all-out warfare on large scaled maps conquest and it will feature a three map playlist at launch? No thank you!

I do not agree that it has more problems then 2042 and in general Battlefield games get released with issues so it's nothing new.

Almost all if not al Battlefield games got within a year a lot more maps added.
