CORRECT! That's exactly what I did. The cheats are coming from PC users. You can see it on all the YouTube videos. The hackers are using computers not consoles.
If Sony PlayStation catches you using your console to cheat you will get a lifetime ban. No one wants to risk it!
As soon as I turned off Crossplay, those oh-so-perfect headshots from 700 M away when I peeked over a hilltop stopped!

Consoles have Cronus, XIM, Titan, custom modified firmware tools exist... Not only that, controller users all use aimbot.. I mean "assist" so they have no recoil and full blast while picking their nose.
Most cheats do originate on PC yes, but to say "only pc users cheat" is just outright wrong.
