Can we discuss anything else? What an overblown issue. Locking weapons has nothing to do with balancing. You want to see less snipers? That's done through game design incentives to play other roles. People will choose what gun they want to use over their role. So if Assault has the best guns, guess what the majority of players are going to pick? Now you have a worse problem than the trivial one you were trying to solve.
Class kits should be balanced, but that has nothing to do with limiting what weapons they can choose. I want the ability to use the weapon that is the most effective for the environment that I'm playing in order to help my team play the objective.
It makes zero sense to me that some soldiers wouldn't be able to use an SMG or AR. It's such an antiquated design approach for an issue that doesn't need solving. There's so many REAL issues with the game, and this is the one people rally behind? Really makes me lose all faith in the Battlefield community honestly.
Im pretty sure assualt having a sniper and an AR effects balance bro. Also engineers having two launchers, also an engineer having a sniper is not realistic. Its not antiquated. It skust not call of duty . Real life i was in the military and each MOS that is specialized carries a weapon matching its Specialty. Thats why they made it that way and thats why they give acess to carbines blfor recon and all other classes.
