Perm Ban Case Was "Fixed". Nobody Told Me What Exactly Was Fixed.

I'm not really sure where else to post this because I'm basically stuck at this point seeing as the case was marked as "fixed".

This isn't me asking the forums to reverse a ban. I understand that's not what the forums are for. My issue is with how this entire support process has gone and how my case was handled.

On May 13, I logged into Battlefield 6 and found that my account had been permanently banned. I submitted an appeal right away through EA Help. The next day I got the usual response saying the ban was reviewed and would remain in place. I understand EA isn't going to give out anti-cheat details, but the response left me with more questions than answers.

I was never given any indication of what was actually reviewed, what activity triggered the enforcement, or whether there was any specific evidence connected to the decision. I asked whether my case had received a manual review and requested clarification on what led to the action, but I never received an answer to those questions. At that point, I had no way of knowing whether my situation had actually been reviewed by someone looking at the details of my account or whether it was simply confirmed based by an automated system.

Instead, the case went into "Waiting on Studio" and stayed there for over two months. In July, I contacted EA Support because at that point I had no idea what was happening. The first advisor I spoke with (Pawan Pyasi) told me that my previous request was not showing as a formal dispute and told me to submit a new formal dispute through the webform.

Okay. I followed that advice.

Then I contacted support again later and spoke with another advisor (Shobhit). I was told my appeal had already been denied and that the "Waiting on Studio" status may have been a glitch. I was again told to create a new inquiry.

The problem was I couldn't create a new inquiry while the old case was open, so I closed it and submitted a new one like I was instructed to do. In the new case, I explained the entire situation. I explained what both advisors told me, explained the issue with the original case status, and asked for someone to look into why I was being sent through this process.

Instead, the response I got was basically just instructions on how to download my EA account data through a SAR request.

Alright. That didn't concern my inquiry.

I already knew how to access that. The problem I was asking about was why my appeal process went the way it did, why I was being told different things by different support agents, and whether my original appeal had actually received a proper review.

Then the case was marked "Fixed". EA just retroactively reclassified my ban appeal as a data request inquiry. Nothing was fixed or even addressed, at any point. Now I can't even reply to the case anymore because it is closed and marked as fixed. The system says the issue is resolved, but from my perspective I never received an answer to the question I actually submitted.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I did everything EA Support told me to do. I waited. I contacted support. I followed the instructions from advisors and automated systems. I created the new inquiry. And the end result was a closed case that didn't address the reason I opened it.

I'm not asking for anyone here to reveal anti-cheat methods or give me special treatment. I just want to understand how a case can be marked as resolved when the actual concern was never answered.

At this point, my biggest issue is that I still have no idea whether my account received a proper manual review or what information the decision was based on. I was given a decision, but never given any meaningful explanation of how that decision was reached.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Is there any way to get a case reviewed after it's been marked "Fixed" when it clearly wasn't resolved?

I didn't ask for proof. I requested a manual review that sat dormant for months to only be responded to as fixed and ineligible to appeal since it was marked as fixed after I was given a link to how to download GDPR data that I didn't ask for in the case and I had already accessed. I've been given zero response relating to whether a review was ever made. It seems like I've been put through the support wringer.

Yes, but I think there's a problem. I see too many posts of people complaining they don't know why they were banned. It's possible some of them knew they were cheating and are trying their luck, but somehow I doubt that's most of them.

I find it really troubling how many people seem to find themselves in dead ends. The company gets to edict the policies for its products, but people have payed (assuming they were not just on Redsec). With anti cheats becoming more and more aggressive, even if for good reason, false positives will become a problem.

Personally, I'm not happy with what I read in the OP.

the email you got when your banned explains why you were banned the appeal is to prevent people just banning you because they feel like it the situation gets manually reviewed by a different person to see if the ban was justified they don't have to give you any proof they give you the reason and thats it sometimes they might say what caused it now I'm not saying the ban you had was justified because it has been a known issue in many game developing companies that if you get banned when you appeal the staff can't be asked to check the case (I'm not saying EA does this but some companies do)
