I figured out how to receive your coins. I too bought coins using EA app while having the game on Steam. Never doin it again but here’s how I fixed it. Support won’t do anything:
purchase bf6 on EA App, sign in and confirm they are there, then close app and refund. the coins will sync to the entirety of the account even Steam then refund the game and put it as “accidentally bought game twice” or something. That’s how I finally was able to get my 11k coins and the refund hit my account in less than a week. Their system is beyond busted.

That won't cause an account ban? Because trying to launch through RedSec's free download won't work.

I can confirm this worked for me. You can do it with "Redsec" (free) via the EA app as follows:
- Download Redsec via the EA app
- Launch Redsec
- Confirm coins are present
- Close Redsec
- Launch BF6 via Steam
- Everything will have synced, and you will now have your coins in Steam.
Hope this helps!- Leiomy2 months agoNew Novice
I originally tried this on Redsec through EA app and it said my account was restricted and unable to access online services with zero bans on the account to even appeal. Once I confirmed this with support that’s when I got curious and bought the game on EA app to see if it would let me launch BF6 or Redsec. It worked.
buying BF6 on EA play was the only way to access Redsec without that banned message. This is what I meant when I said their system is busted. One support person even told me there was no record on her end of me having a BF6 purchase through Steam, that’s when I knew the “fix” was to link it the hard way and rebuy it and refund.- Araxin2 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
I think they may have fixed it since. I was told by support (13th Nov) they personally thought "it should be fixed very soon" and my ticket had a "No fix" status then they just closed it, because you know...
Long story short, logged a new ticket they were just as unhelpful. Effectively blaming me for it while other agents admitted it was a known issue - quite offensive to be honest:
"You purchased the game on Steam, which is why your Battlefield Coins are not showing in-game. Since you bought the coins through the EA App, they can only be used if the base game is also purchased via the EA App. To utilize your coins, you would need to own the game on the same platform."

The original mentioning it's a "known issue":
"I just got this checked by the team and I would like to inform you that this is a known issue and has already been reported to our team as many players around the world reported this issue to us and at this very moment we're are trying to fix it."

Gave in, tried REDSEC and it just worked. No banned message. So, I guess it's fixed but not fixed...
It worked on the day I posted my previous comment; it may present differently for different accounts.

As of 2.11.26 I can confirm this works. I downloaded redsec and launched it in EA, the coins showed up then I closed the EA game and launched the one I actually bought in Steam and the coins now show! Thanks Araxin!!!
