Really not a fan of the new scope zoom system

The new scopes certainly have a nice look, with the subtle but not intruding lens distortion and such, but the resolution of the space inside is just abhorrent.

its clear they are using an approach that zooms in on screen space and blows up the pixels in the scope’s bounds to create that dual render look, but the zooming in of it just makes the picture inside the scope of such low resolution that it is neither practical nor good looking.

i would of course much rather this technical approach than a dual camera, but considering the gains seem only slight because the whole screen zooms in anyway, that I’d appreciate an option to just use the pre bf6-approach for scopes and zoom everything in and the scope itself just be for alignment. Looking through it just makes the game look like a smudge or a mishmash of pixels where details are just harder to make out, sniping is still possible but you miss out on the detail you’d see clearly in even 2042 with its forced anti aliasing.

I agree, I have turned up my texture settings to overkill to try to improve the quality in the scope and I just can't get it to look nice, and it does not help the fact that I am on a ultra wide monitor. Whenever I see a streamer content, their scope looks fine
