Likewise and keep being delusional (see video proof of sniper damage in the attachment), but thank you very much for making it so easy for me to prove who is spouting complete nonsense in this discussion.
Oh god, that's what you actually meant? Jeez, you're a tough lad to follow. Well, that video has made SOMEONE's point, but clearly not whose you thought it would.
I did say, and I will quote so there is no mistake:
ALL WEAPONS deal base damage adjusted for range when hitting anywhere else.
Yes, sniper rifles have inverse damage falloff. And what you wrote was:
Automatic weapons have higher damage multipliers on average over the entire body compared to sniper rifles, especially the limbs.
What you wrote is false. What I wrote is true. And those two are facts. Your video shows there is no "damage multiplier for limbs" by the way, just another silly thing you wrote.
To be clear, you say a sniper rifle has 80 base damage. Every gun in the game has damage falloff, so that's the base damage at ideal range. For an automatic rifle, that's close range, for a sniper rifle, that's further up. this is NOT A DISADVANTAGE: sniper rifles are efficient over many more range bands than any other gun.
Which leads to the second mind-numbing thing you're saying:
An asinine take, this isn't a simulator, cherry picking only long range situations where an enemy doesn't see you, doesn't engage with you or is also using a sniper rifle is not how BF is played.
YES IT IS. Before, now, always. That's why those guns are zeroed starting at 100m, and only go up from there. Go check BF4, it was the same, you literally couldn't align your crosshairs with your shot under 100m. You want to fight close range with them, go for it, but those guns are not meant for that. You want DICE to change the design philosophy? Sure, go for it as well, but don't be surprised if everyone and their grandmother just ignores you.
