Redsec Ranked

So I’d just like to ask what where the devs thinking when they do match making in red sec ranked? Like I’m in silver 5 now and it seems to match make your squad in the same division of players. Everyone is silver or maybe gold 1 I get teamed with. But I’ve died to players in master rank and even too 250 a couple times. 
like every other game in ranked modes you play against your division and around whatever rank you are give or take a small difference of higher or lower. Why is master and top 250 players up against bronze and silver player???
