This was a great change. Start to play vs humans if you wanna get fair progression like everyone else in a multiplayer game.

As people mentioned above, not everyone can play vs humans all the time and playing vs humans when they have all the attachments while you are just starting is not the best experience. BF2042 allowed it and there were no issues.
