Suggestion: Bring Back Operations Mode in Battlefield 6
Bringing back the Operations mode in Battlefield 6 would be a great evolution of the current gameplay.
This mode could be adapted to a modern setting, using new maps, but also by re-using and connecting iconic maps from previous Battlefield titles.
For example, an Operation could chain:
Operation Metro
followed by Seine Crossing
This would create a strong sense of progression, with the frontline moving logically from a tight urban environment to a more open city setting, while making great use of fan-favorite maps.
Operations would bring several key advantages:
a more immersive experience than a single Breakthrough match
a real campaign feeling, with multiple battles connected together
increased tension and stakes, especially with a battalion or limited-resource system
stronger emphasis on teamplay and coordination
Breakthrough works well, but each match feels isolated.
Operations would help restore a strong Battlefield identity, focused on immersion, progression, and memorable large-scale battles.
👉 Bringing back Operations, even in a modernized form, would be a major addition to Battlefield 6 and would likely be very well received by both veterans and new players.
