The current XP progression rate is the disease. Farming is just the symptom

I agree this has caused excessive farming lobbies and hold back from people that want to build communities, friendships and all out hardcore warzones here. The excessive farming lobbies continues and will continue to clog up the global server queue and hinder the ability of real builders that helped form the battlefield culture.

You spoiled children do not know slow progression in Battlefield game. In Battlefield 2 to reach rank 21 it took you over 2000 hours, unless you had literally no life you were going to never reach it. Back then i was in middle school and i gave up after reaching Major, i simply spoofed my rank and unlocked everything, you had to play hundreds of games just to rank up ONCE if you were not top of the leader board every game. 

BF6 is cakewalk, people got spoiled by call of duty, clearly, no patience anymore.

Battlefield 3 had no problem with the level of progression, it was fine.

Whats changed since then are the players.

The want for instant gratification, a pop up every game to say well done.

You accidentally proved my point that huge grinds lead to people trying to bypass the grind to get to the goal.

I remember... having to sneak behind the attackers as a recon in BF3 Rush... to put a beacon on older sectors and attack the attackers from behind in order to get more kills and grind it faster... I do not remember this fondly.

You can bet your eye that if we could farm bots in BF3 or other legacy titles , people would have done it. It is not the players that changed, there are just more alternatives now than normal PvP or kill trading.

Battlefield 2042's progression was fine and that game had issues too.

While I get that people want to get some basic weapons without grinding for hours and Battlefield Studios should make sure that those weapons are easily accessible. That said, if the game has a few really hard challenges for cosmetics at the larger stages of the progression tree then people really shouldn't complain. Challenges are there because they should provide a challenge. Not every piece of content has to be easily completable.

So true. For weapon rank 0-50, before the update, it was: 1884 humans or 3769 bots, after the update: 1740 humans or 16454 bots. This is still 4 times more than previous games, and still the most attachment grind-intensive FPS game in history.

DICE would probably still be thinking that the grind can keep players playing the game, and they can sell blueprints in their battle pass and in-game purchase stores with goods mods already attached, and money will flow into their account. 

I don't know why the local hosting option is grayed out. If people want to play bots just let them do it. 

Separate the stats so bots track differently than players for kdm. Let ppl xp however they want. 

Crack down on the script kiddies and let legit players blast bots if they want to. Not everyone has fiber optic internet.

So the situation is just like I thought. They nerfed the bots but the grind hardly got a nerf.
This means that people will kill trade with players or WORSE, the general lobbies will be full of people who farm XP for attachments instead of playing normally.

BS should eat crow and move all the attachments to earlier mastery ranks, preferably up to 20. I do not mind if there is a huge grind to reach the max for bragging rights, but the gameplay should not be impacted by the grind.

Honestly, I never enjoyed having to unlock stuff in pvp games. I just want to have use the weapons and attachments I like and have fun. But I guess it wouldn't make sense financially for game publishers to released pvp games in such a state. Also, some people seem to need some kind of grind to keep them entertain.
