The maps need some work...
I've played just about every Battlefield (even 2142, Titan mode was sexy!) and I'm somewhat disappointed with BF6's maps.
Some maps are great, but most are bad... Manhattan Bridge(?) on Attack & Defend: Zero vehicles, but expect you to push 32 infantry vs. 32 infantry with no vehicles (not even jeeps) on Offense... CQB modes are good, but some of the 'big' maps need to be rebalanced badly. They're unfun to play... Especially since it takes you until level >20 to even start progressing on things like C4.
There's the desert map (forgot the name already; Mirak Valley maybe?) with like, 8 tanks in total, 4 jets, 4 helicopters... 1/4 the lobby is literally sitting in a vehicle (usually more since passengers) so that's 24/64 or so in vehicles. Add another 8 snipers or so on each side and you're looking at 16v16 infantry on a map that's ENORMOUS... Back in the day, it was 64vs64 and it felt GOOD, but this is miserable ngl.
Still enjoying the game, I just think the maps are badly thought out and need work. Seriously though, why can't I at least earn progress marking targets with the Laser Designator? You can still lock the C4 behind rank whatever, but you literally can't progress anything until after 20 and THEN your marking starts counting.
Anyway, feel free to yell at me in the comments now.
