I remember the patch and the experiment where DICE changed the speed of TTK/TTD in BFV and the community revolted over the insta-ttk. Any high ROF weapon dominated in close and mid range engagements which is where most of the action is when trying to flip a capture point. DICE had to roll that back because the player base was furious and openly rejected the changes BEFORE they changed it in a patch.
I absolutely knew that they used this opportunity for a test run and would either sneak it back into the game with a future update or make the new TTK/TTD model the standard for their next game which turned out to be 2042 with an inherited faster TTK/TTD.
I am not holding my breath for TTD to match TTK and I am not waiting for them to give PC players the option to disable crossplay. I have spoken by joining the masses in uninstalling BF6 and started playing Arc Raiders with my two boys.

I completely agree. I remember the TTK/TTD change in BFV, and I know that the community response was overwhelming. That's why I'm afraid of a similar scenario, that TTK/TTD will not change in BF6 either. This is despite the fact that a significant part of the community has been calling for change from the very beginning. Some also called it a slowdown of the game.
Great TTK/TTD is the main reason why BFV is still being played despite its prematurely ended support and lack of content in the game. The situation is similar with BF1. It also has great TTK/TTD, unlike games such as CoD.
In contrast, BF2042 is slowly fading into history because it has "bad" TTK/TTD settings, similar to BF6 now. But that's even shorter.
I'm very sorry to see my teammates returning to BFV or not playing at all. They don't want to stress out and just complain about the game. They want to enjoy the game instead. The new BF6 game looks amazing, sounds great, and has the best game mechanics of all previous editions of the game. However, BF6 lacks the main thing that makes a game great, and that is relaxed gameplay.I understand that the developers can't please everyone, that's unrealistic. However, this problem annoys just about everyone. It's impossible to estimate whether the same weapon and the same player will kill me in a millisecond, or whether I'll have time to react to the shot. Every situation is different, and TTK/TTD is extremely short. Add to that poor visibility and confusing city maps with accessible rooftops.
Finally, players with controllers ruin the game with their reduced weapon recoil and aim assist, and as a PC player, I can't turn off cross-play.It's a shame that DICE is so passive about these issues.
