Too Chaotic...
EA,
I just wanted to start this out by saying I started playing Battlefield on Battlefield 1 when I left COD and went on from there so I'm not particularly a "veteran" BF player. But something just doesn't feel right about this game with the amount of chaos. 98% of the time I'm getting shot from 10 different ways all while also getting sniped by many other players. It's more like 1v10+ constantly and no matter where I go I'm getting shot from multiple locations. It feels more like a COD game with vehicles and destruction than Battlefield. I try to take cover by laying down in a ditch and I'm still getting shot from multiple locations. I'm thinking the maps are too small for 64 players and the capture points need to be spaced out more. Adding more routes to capture points may also help? I'm not sure what the best solution is here.
And then if you add all of this on top of people getting into unintended areas, footsteps not working correctly and incorrect direction footsteps when they do work it just makes matters even worse. Most of the time I'll have people run up on me and not hear a single footstep until I've died and then I hear them. Or I'll hear footsteps and think it's an enemy and turn around to realize it's a friendly and get blasted in the back.
Whatever happened to displaying on screen the directional warning if you're near a grenade? If I don't happen to see a small red dot in all of the chaos then I never know I'm even near a grenade. Certain angles you're looking, you can't see them at your feet, to the side or behind you. Also, why take out the functionality to throw a grenade back?
I've tried to make a portal experience to help mitigate some of these issues and I still haven't been able to do that without a quota error.
Thanks!
