Vehicle feedback

Keeping it as simple as i can. Been playing these games since battlefield 2, not that it matters much but ive been with this series forever, and have pretty much just been a vehicle **bleep** the entire time, ive been through atacama deserts nonsense, and been around when the tanks were just there to kind of there to exist in bf3. 

Top armor should be given a multiplier in damage when it is hit across all vehicles. If it already exists it should be higher, not like...one shot from an H.E shell from a tank high, but if youre at a distance and an H.E shell hits the top armor of the tank, that should rattle a player enough to retreat...in my opinion atleast, it would make all those long shots against enemies that have engineers repairing them after ive used all my AP on them already, much more rewarding. The first few times I saw the H.E shells land on the top of the turret and that tank just returning fire cause repairing was disapointing,

Tanks: They feel...glidey? I understand we have modern engines and what not but they feel...loose, too loose from what id expect. If i stop from full speed, im going sideways, and not in a tokyo drift i accidently turned kind of way, more in a, how did i end up on the side of this hill and all i did was tap the breaks kind of way, it has lead to some deaths that were pretty irritating. It might just be a me thing though, i dont know. Armor piercing shell I feel needs to do more damage, to reward accuracy. I dont use lock on munitions because they dont make sense when i can just take a tank out from long range because i know what im doing, but the enemy tank gets rewarded because its team mates locked on to me and it gets a free kill. I understand were trying to reward team work, but making it the entire focus of the game is how you end up with a trash player base. I like the armor system that seems to be in play, very rewarding for keeping your front facing armor forward.

IFV: MR missile needs a nerf, badly, id say at about half its output of damage. Laser designator need a range reduction, at the moment, you can lock onto anything at any range, super cool irl but this is a video game and it defeats the point of countermeasures if theyre being cancelled out all the time. I feel like its armor needs to be thinner against AP shells from MBT. Cause i can run circles around a tank and get hit quite a few times by armor piercing shells as well as the enemy, and ill be limping, but that tank is dead. I dont feel like its fair at the moment, two or three should kill an IFV, regardless of location, maybe two max if they hit the rear armor.

MRAP: It needs the projectile defense system, its a necessity for this class of vehicle. Id argue it is more frontline intensive then the tank or IFV in some games due to its ability to put feet on the objective and therefore will face more AT then most other vehicles. Also a resupply for ammo aura or whatever like it does for health would be nice. A liittle more speed, not crazy amounts obviously but i feel like it does not match the intent of the vehicle at its current speed.

SPAA: Dont know what that first gun is, but I hate it, I understand its function, and im glad i got passed it, but...what the hell? Also, the second primary weapon that escapes my mind at the moment, needs a longer heat up time, by about a second whatever that translates to in coding. Enough to reward a player for landing all their shots on a plane or helicopter so you can kill it if its dumb enough to get close, but also a longer cooldown to punish you for being over zealous. That armor piercing cannon, is very situational, and i havent found the situation yet so im not going to gripe about it because i havent given it a fair shake after the first attempt, because like the first gun....im confused in the intent as only the Attack chopper gets armor, but its not enough to make the second primary useless...they still die fast if you can keep the bullets hitting them and they wait for a second or at times third reload on your end. This is also another vehicle that needs the projectile defense. If helicopters and jets find it, it can only run, and given the size and scope of these matches...yea.

I dont fly jets So i guess someone else will know better there.

Transport Helo: One of my favorites to fly, my babies, I think grenade launchers that shoot around five grenades before a cool down would be nice. That way they can take pot shots at armor, but not be just laying waste to literally everything because explosions. ECM would be cool, also below radar? I havent seen it work yet....I think its because of the heavy presence of soflam? But I fly low to the ground in both choppers and I get locked onto constantly, im not sure whats happening and soflam is my best guess. Maybe im doing it wrong and need to touch the ground? I have videos actually of me spawning in the chopper and being locked onto the second i get in the chopper, absolutely bonkers, but im confident yall willl rectify these issues, its just opening month blues.

And my most poignant stick in the mud gripe with this game is that the MBT H.E shells land next to infantry, and I get suppression...not even a damage marker. I ran them in the last BF and I believe V, It traded Armor damage for a wide blast radius that punished infantry, my shells are landing behind targets hitting back walls, which would normally kill all three of the guys hiding behind the barrier but didnt notice the walls behind them, theyre some of the most rewarding kills and was a great way to balance the tank infantry offset if a tank pilot was good (which I know is not a big deal, and im really not trying to brag at all, but i did reach the top 3% in Battlefield 2042s later days, so I know what im talking about on this subject) If you knew how to aim you could take out an entire squad trying to pin you down because you knew to hit the side of the rock instead of the hill they were standing on, or you aim for the top back lip of the crater theyre hiding in to fill the crater with overpressure and crush their bodies with the concussive force of the H.E shell because you thought you were messing with an amateur. Just felt good, im hoping we get there again without making it crazy broken like it was in V, because that was bonkers, didnt even really have to be near them, just kind of...on the same map as an enemy and they were erased, fun days, but unfair to players that enjoy infantry play over vehicle play.

 

Anyway, was not intended to be a wall, and im not a programmer, just a very....very long time fan, that has played i believe every battlefield released and has played every vehicle ever, giving my less then two cents because im old now. Most of these are probably trash bin ideas because yall have a deeper understanding, but maybe some are good or lead to an improvement of some kind down the road.

    What with the blinding smoke everytime you are hit in a tank? its already hard enough in these super small maps with 4 guys with RPG around you and being takiong down 75% hp by landminds. You get hit and your unless and have to run away. Tanks can almost never help take points. Mostly because half the points are not capable by tanks. Where did the IR go? I though they didnt add anything to tanks in beta because they wanted to test stuff out but now its clear they never had anything.

    EA even removed the smoke tail from lunchers so you get hit and right away blinded and then cannot even see where it came from even though the person is standing right in front of you and has absolutely no consequence of rpging as their position is completely hidden.  Now x3 people not a chance.

    Why is teh IFV soooo much better then the MBT? Tanks feel like your driving a boat. 

    Your better of driving around in 3rd person(COD style) then using zoom or shooting/aim down sights where is almost ever BF before 2042 shooting in 3rd person was a huge disadvantage and the most never possibleto hit anything.

    We NEED IR back because you just get in a tank get locked on and if u live though that u hit a mine.

    it's obvious they didn't know what they were doing cuz they give it every single engineer mine's right off the bat,
