What is EA's obsession with new game modes?

I don't understand why EA is focusing so much on all these new game modes, It feels like they have lost touch with the core of battlefield, instead of these COD like game modes just bring back the bigger maps, We want maps for conquest not f***ing sabotage, Battle royale or gauntlet. What's next are we going to have an extraction shooter mode like DMZ?

    Oo I'll try this one.

    It's because EA/DICE are utterly lead by marketing ideas and don't actually play the game themselves and don't care about the community at all.

    Am I close?

    yeh, its BS, i play Battlefield because its not COD, PUBG, or any of the other arcadie games! I'm playing through EA Pro, close to ending my subscription.
