Why so antisemitic?

My name is Flyingcoconut666, I was banned for commenting back on antisemitism in the chat. I was banned for saying 2 things that evening. “Ty sped” and “low income comment”. The first comment I was addressing to my mate speed which I thanked him for something as he didn’t have his mic down. I abbreviated it and said Ty sped. Not bulling anyone. Second comment was because for some reason battlefield players began making antisemitic comments and jokes. So yes, I responded. “Low income comment”. As a Jew I’ve dealt with a lot of BS from the gaming community but battlefield certainly has taken the cake. Almost 700hrs. I get banned. Not suspended.  no warning, just banned. Yeah I could disable the chat. So I can’t chat with my mates anymore cause of that. I have to block out hate cause the company doesn’t care? I guess nothing unusual.
I’ve had to resort to making a discussion about it cause I can’t appeal it on my EA account cause I was banned. For anyone reading this.

I was banned for standing up as a Jewish man to hate, Antisemitism is everywhere. But if I can’t even play a game where it comes up for no reason. Or they hear my accent and begin making remarks. Not too sure how to feel about the ban. Annoyed that I spent almost 700hrs and at the end of the day the company never even had my back as a customer, a player. If I do get my account back I would be grateful but also would have a nasty taste in my mouth now knowing that battlefield is what it is today.

  • When they start fining people large amounts of money for making toxic statements, only then will it stop. Money is the number one thing that the majority of people will react to, regardless of bigotry.

I did appeal the ban, every time I go thru this process it says I have no appeal in progress. My account has limited access due to it being banned. It’s clear they wanna have a certain type of people play this game. They basically giving me a middle finger.

"It's just a game", "it's not that deep" and other similiar phrases are intentionally maliciously at worse and completely stupid at best.

I think these phrases are pushed by **bleep**, etc. to try and normalise their beliefs, and it gets repeated by morons.

    Truly sad, and pathetic.

Ban appeals are not handled via the forums. If you feel you have been incorrectly banned, you can dispute any action against your EA account by following the steps in the following link:

How do I appeal a ban

    Thank you. EA_Barry.

It could have been the "abbreviated" word for speed, because as you wrote it, even though it's a legitimate word (being a past tense word of "speed") it's also a an abbreviation for "special education" and become seen as a anti-disability, offensive slur in some parts of the world.

As someone who has been around the gaming community for a long time, I think we need to have an honest conversation about the amount of antisemitism that is being thrown around in Battlefield 6. There’s a difference between trash talk and people simply being toxic in a competitive game and what we’re seeing here crosses that line.

Gaming has always had trash talk. But when antisemitic slurs, Nazi references and hateful stereotypes become a regular part of voice chat, it stops being “just gaming.” At that point, it’s targeted hatred, and pretending otherwise only normalizes it.

What makes it worse is how quickly people dismiss it with “it’s just a joke” or “get over it.” If the entire punchline depends on degrading Jewish people, it isn’t suddenly harmless because someone put a microphone in front of it. You can be edgy without being hateful. You can talk **bleep** without targeting an entire group of people based on their identity.

Battlefield has one of the biggest and most diverse gaming communities out there. Players should be able to jump into a server, play the game, talk trash, and have fun without constantly being exposed to antisemitic garbage. And honestly, this shouldn’t even be a controversial position.

If you’re a longtime Battlefield player, you know how much this community prides itself on being chaotic, competitive, and unfiltered. That doesn’t mean we have to accept straight-up bigotry as part of the culture. We can keep the trash talk, the chaos, and the competitive energy without normalizing antisemitism.

At some point, “it’s just a game” stops being an excuse. The people on the other side of the screen are real. If we want gaming to be a community we’re proud to be part of, we have to call this stuff out when we see it instead of laughing along and pretending it’s normal. And someone being banned permanently for raising awareness isn’t fair either.. Battlefield, you’re banning the wrong people.
