Wrongful ban of a long time player and customer.... what is going on???

Can any EA advisor/customer service representative please address this and help me with Battlefield 6. I have been a loyal Battlefield player for over 20 years, starting from the very first title on Xbox and PC, and I have never had any issues or violations. I play using a controller due to a handicap in my left hand, which has always been how I’ve played your games. I have never cheated or used any unauthorized software. I simply play the game as intended. Being banned from a game I paid for, without explanation, is extremely upsetting and I'm not understanding why this situation is happening. Ive been reaching out through ea help for months with no help or even response in this matter.    I respectfully ask for a review of my account and a resolution to this false ban. Please get this to the right team,  because this looks very bad on your end.... how could this happen to someone who has played your games the way you are supposed to for as long as i have ...and support all your titles... and this happens.

Please assist

Thank you

  • Hi izzi7,

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but literally nobody on this forum can overturn a game or account ban, not even the EA Community Managers. The only people at EA who can handle a ban appeal are their Terms of Service team, so all I can suggest is to try continuing to speak with them via the appeal process, unfortunately. Moreover, unless you do manage to successfully appeal the ban, you will eventually get to a point where ToS will no longer investigate.

With that said, can I ask if you use any software with your controller on PC? I only ask as you mentioned a handicap in your left hand, and I do know that some players were caught out in the past by using software to assist them, due to the information given out by the developer. I'm not accusing you of doing anything wrong, you might not even use any additional software, but it just popped into my mind to ask.

Im aware that the community managers and  forum members cannot officially do anything.  But, I've got no feed back/ help through the appeal process...its all automated.  When speaking to the ai advisors they recommend to post here so that maybe they can pass it on to the TOS team or someone who can help.  My reference to my handicap is that I cannot play on a mouse and keyboard well.  I play with controllers on Xbox and pc.  Ive been more dominantly on Xbox.   I just bought a new laptop so playing with a controller on pc is the only thing that is different from the norm.  I do not use any software, I'm able to play battlefield games with a controller very well from doing it for so long.

Don't stoop to the level of those gloating little kids—they'll get what's coming to them sooner or later. Behind EA's anti-cheat is nothing but abusive, overreaching terms of service. EA and Battlefield don't deserve your respect anymore. It's time to say goodbye to them.

To them, you're completely insignificant—they couldn't care less.

I think we can safely ignore what I was wondering about then, since you don't use the software I was alluding to. It would have only been a potential cause, anyway, and probably wouldn't have helped with revoking the ban. What was the reason ToS cited in the original notification email (E.G. Gamplay Enhancement)? Something else may have triggered the ban, so it might be possible for you to collect different evidence for an appeal.

They're actually not AI advisors, unless you've only be talking with the EA Help bot, NextStep, that is. They'll be customer service employees who need to effectively stick to a script (ToS also only use set-text when corresponding, but appeals aren't handled by AI either). While they've technically mis-advised you, since only ToS handle bans via the set appeal process and posting here regrettably won't get you anywhere, I expect they suggested it as they weren't able to help you directly. I probably made similar mistakes before I escaped CS a few years ago, as I was trying my best to be helpful and felt bad when I couldn't resolve something.

Do you ever use anonymous mode so you get the fake "Bright" or "Any" name? Lot's of people report those accounts as cheaters. I do it just because I hate when people use that

I've never used that,  not even sure where that setting would be.

I feel your plight. Maybe I'm being overly simplistic here (and I apologise if so), but last case scenario you can create an EA account anew and resume gameplay...?

Also maybe ask a techie friend to look at the pre-installed software on your PC? You said you bought it new and didn't do anything beyond the ordinary; often new PCs come with promo or demo software already installed — and they could be triggering the game's anti-abuse systems. It's always wise to do such a software clean-up after buying a new PC.

You're ego response is a little ridiculous just to point that out.  You referencing your play has nothing to do with this.

Your play is irrelevant. You got banned, and you are not in a position to do anything about it. So you are suggesting it is a false positive... triggered by what? A killstreak on the server? Strange lag caused by something? Griefing team going after you? Did you launch the game after running Windows, after some other prior activity? Did you swap software/hardware before the ban happened? Do you recall anything unusual? Were you banned from both LaptopPC and a console?

Ive played this game a long time and always enjoyed the series.  To say you shouldnt play the series?  ... what if this happened to you?

So, is it even relevant again? I`ve been playing the series for a long time. Modding servers also. My ego-boosting statements are here to trigger your response.

I would probably uninstall the game, then write to support to fix a sh*tty game cuz I have no time for this... and ask if the banishing squad needs any logs or something.

I have nothing to hide my pc tag is "izzi7" and my Xbox tag is "izi".  As far as bringing this public ...that is how this is brought to light for ea to fix...or as the other poster stated they dgaf.

Sorry mate. You should only know that if you repurchase the game with current unresolved issues, you may get banned again.
